Beaulard is a frazione of the comune of Oulx, Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, Italy. It had been a separate commune before 1928. It has a railway station.

Sansicario (also spelled San Sicario) is a frazione of the comune of Cesana Torinese (Metropolitan City of Turin) in Piedmont, north-western Italy.It lies at 1,700 m (5,600 feet) in the Val Susa and has a population of 93 people. It is a famous winter tourist resort.At the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, it hosted the biathlon, luge, skeleton, bobsled, and also the Women's' Downhill and Super-G Alpine skiing races.

Cesana San Sicario, located in Cesana, Italy was a location of a venue for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The biathlon facility is built for 6,500 spectators. The accommodation is located in Cesana and lies in a large ski area named Via Lattea. It is directly connected to the winter venues in Monginevro and Sestriere. The elevation of this area varies between 1630 and 1680 meters. The course is located near Cesana Pariol where the Winter Olympics's bobsled, luge and skeleton events were held. These venues were built as special venues for the Olympic Games with varying heights and difficulties. The facility is part of Torino Olympic Park, created to manage all of the venues used for the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Col de l'Échelle (el. 1762 m., in Italian Colle della Scala) is a mountain pass in the Alps in the department of Hautes-Alpes in France. It is the lower mountain pass between France and Italy and connects Vallée de la Clarée and Vallée Étroite (commune of Névache, Dora Riparia basin). The highest point between both valleys is actually at 1779 meter, some kilometers north of the official Col de l'Échelle at the Mauvais Pas. Between both cols, a small dry valley exists. The col is next to Bardonecchia in Italy. In April 2018, over 100 activists of the "Identitarian" nationalist movement occupied the pass to campaign against migrants crossing from Italy to France. In August 2019, a French court sentenced three of them to a six-month jail term and fines of €2,000 each, and fined the pan-European organisation €75,000 because they deliberately led immigrants to believe they were police officers.

The Col de Pelouse (Italian: Colle della Pelouse) is a mountain pass in the Alps on the border between France and Italy. It lies at an elevation of 2,793 metres (9,163 ft) and has a north–south orientation. On the northern (French) side, the pass leads into the valley of the Maurienne; on the southern (Italian) side, the Val di Susa. To its west rises the summit of Gardoria and to its east that of Aiguille de Scolette. It connects Avrieux in France with Bardonecchia in Italy. A small barracks, Bivacco LXIII, lies in ruins on the Italian side. It was built in 1939 to house twenty soldiers. In 1940, during the Italian invasion of France, Italian troops passed through the Col de Pelouse. There was fighting just north of the pass on the French side. For mountaineers, the Col de Pelouse is the easiest start point for climbing the Aiguille de Scolette or the Pointe de Paumont to the west.
