Chilton Candover

Preston Candover Long Barrow is an unchambered long barrow located near to the village of Preston Candover in the south-eastern English county of Hampshire. The archaeologist Ian Kinnes classed the Preston Candover example alongside the Badshot Lea Long Barrow in Surrey as the two known examples located on the North Downs.

The Old Church of St Mary the Virgin is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Preston Candover, Hampshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Only the chancel of the church has survived. It is situated towards the south of the village, on the northwest side of the B3046 road.

The Candover Brook is a 9.6 km (6.0 mi) chalk stream in the English county of Hampshire. It is a tributary of the River Itchen, which it joins near the town of New Alresford. The stream rises from springs just to the south of the village of Preston Candover.It is one of the few rivers remaining in southern England that is home to the endangered native white-clawed crayfish.Candover Brook is part of the Itchen Valley Countryside Heritage Area, recognising the distinctive features and biological richness of this area.

Preston Candover is a village and large civil parish in Hampshire, England. It has two churches, only one of which is still in use. Its nearest town is Basingstoke, approximately 4.5 miles (7.2 km) away. It has an acreage of 3,457 acres (13.99 km2), which lies on comparatively low ground, south of the high country round the surrounding villages of Farleigh Wallop and Nutley, and north-west of that which rises to Wield and beyond to Bentworth. The village itself lies on the lowest ground towards the west of the parish on the road which comes northeast from Northington and the two other Candovers, and runs across the parish to enter Nutley at Axford and continues uphill to Farleigh Wallop and then to Basingstoke. The village was home to the late Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover and his wife Anya Linden, of the supermarket Sainsbury family.

Swarraton is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Northington, in the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. It lies three miles (5 km) from New Alresford covers an acreage of 755 acres (3.06 km2). Its nearest railway station is in New Alresford, on the Mid-Hants section of the London and South Western Railway. In 1931 the parish had a population of 90. On 1 April 1932 the parish was abolished and merged with Northington.

Nutley is a small village and civil parish in the Basingstoke and Deane district of Hampshire, England. It is located approximately 5.6 miles (9.0 km) south-west from Basingstoke, just off the B3046 road. The parish has an acreage of 1,524 acres (617 ha) with 74 acres (30 ha) made up of permanent grass and 386 acres (156 ha) of woodland.

Woodmancott is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Micheldever, in the Winchester district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Winchester, which lies approximately 9.3 miles (15.0 km) south-west from the hamlet, just of the M3. The village is notable for Blissfields Festival, hosted each summer at Vicarage Farm since 2011. In 1961 the parish had a population of 31. On 1 April 1985 the parish was abolished and merged with Micheldever and Candovers.

Popham is a hamlet and civil parish south of Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. According to the Post Office the population of the 2011 Census was included in the civil parish of Dummer. The area was occupied from pre-historic times and was established as a permanent habitation during the Roman occupation of Britain. The manor of Popham was established by the monastery of Winchester as an outlying agricultural grain station. A small church and school were later established, but have long since disappeared. The parish and hamlet were later dissected by the M3 Motorway and A303 trunk road. Although named for Popham, Popham Airfield and the Popham Little Chef restaurant are situated in the neighbouring parish of Steventon.

English Heritage have a guardianship deed on the scheduled monument and Grade I listed building, with the Grade II* listed gardens and monument's exterior open to the public. The house and gardens are also available to rent for parties and weddings. Grange Park Opera staged opera at The Grange every Summer from 1998 to 2016. In June 2017 The Grange Festival became the resident opera company.
