icddr,b (formerly known as the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh) is an international health research organisation located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dedicated to saving lives through research and treatment, icddr,b addresses some of the most critical health concerns facing the world today, ranging from improving neonatal survival to HIV/AIDS. Mohakhali Flyover (Bengali: মহাখালী উড়ালসেতু) is an overpass located at Mohakhali in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is the first flyover completed in Bangladesh. Although the construction of Khilgaon flyover was started first, the construction of Mohakhali flyover was completed earlier and inaugurated before Khilgaon flyover. That is why Mohakhali flyover can be recognized as the country's first flyover. Construction of the Mohakhali flyover began in December 2001 and was opened to traffic in November 2004. The length of this flyover is 1.12 km built with the help of 19 strong pillars. There is a 7.5 m wide road for vehicular movement and a 0.6 m footpath on both sides. The flyover took about three years to complete at a cost of about 114 crore taka.

Universal Medical College and Hospital (ইউনিভার্সেল মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতাল) is a private medical college and hospital located in Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 1996, it offers a five-year undergraduate MBBS program followed by a compulsory one-year internship. It is academically affiliated with the University of Dhaka and recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

Mohakhali Bus Terminal is one of three main inter-city bus stations in Dhaka (local name tangail bus stand), opened in 1984. Located in the Mohakhali neighbourhood, it primarily serves destinations in northern Bangladesh, including Tangail, Netrokona, Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Kishoreganj, and Bogra.Renovations to the terminal were completed in 2005. The 15 crore taka ($2.3M) rehabilitation was part of the Dhaka Urban Transport Project, funded by a World Bank loan.The 36,400-square-metre (9.0-acre) site can accommodate 300 buses. As of 2015, companies operate 800 daily trips from the terminal, on 60 different routes.

Bir Uttom Ziaur Rahman Road is a major commercial road located in the Tejgaon, Mohakhali and Banani area of Dhaka city, Bangladesh. It is currently under the jurisdiction of Dhaka North City Corporation. The some offices of government and private business organizations and banks in Dhaka city are located here. This road is named after Ziaur Rahman, one of the political leaders of Bangladesh and the late President of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh International School and College, formerly Bangladesh International School, is a private school located in New Dohs, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is managed by the Bangladesh Army Station Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka. The school was established in 1995 to provide educational services in English. This college is named after Mir Nesar Ali Titumir, who was killed fighting against British colonial rule. It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.
