St Andrew's Church is in the village of Dent, Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Western Dales Mission Community in the deanery of Kendal and archdeaconry of Westmorland and Furness. and the diocese of Carlisle. It has a regular Sunday morning eucharist at 11.15am. Its benefice is united with that of St John the Evangelist, Cowgill. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Dentdale is a dale or valley in the north-west of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Cumbria, England. It is the valley of the River Dee, but takes its name from the village of Dent. The dale runs east to west, starting at Dent Head, which is the location of a railway viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle Line.Dentdale is one of the few Yorkshire Dales that drain westwards to the Irish Sea.

Dent is a village and civil parish in Cumbria, England, within the historic boundaries of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It lies in Dentdale, a narrow valley on the western slopes of the Pennines within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 4 miles (6 km) south east of Sedbergh and 8 miles (13 km) north east of Kirkby Lonsdale. Great Coum is a hill in the Yorkshire Dales, but is located in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria. The highest point is in Dent parish, but the boundary with Casterton parish crosses the summit. Its neighbours include Crag Hill, Green Hill and Gragareth. It can be ascended from Dent to the north or by a shorter route, of about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) with 700 feet (210 m) of climbing, from the minor road to White Shaw Moss (SD723821). Great Coum is classified as a Marilyn, Hewitt, Nuttall, HuMP, Simm, Buxton & Lewis, Bridge and Clem.

Crag Hill is on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales in northern England, not to be confused with the higher Crag Hill elsewhere in the county of Cumbria. It lies on the boundary of the Yorkshire Dales national park, but its summit is in South Lakeland district, Cumbria. It is part of a ridge including the neighbouring fells of Great Coum and Gragareth. The summit of Crag Hill is about 0.62 miles (1 km) away from the top of Great Coum, the latter being the highest point on the ridge at 2,254 feet (687 m).All three hills may be included in a single circular walk from High Moss near Whernside on the Ingleton to Dent road. The views are extensive, with panoramas of the Yorkshire Dales, Howgill Fells, the Pennines and the Lake District beyond. The hill is listed as one of the waypoints in the Yorkshire Dales Top Ten (YDTT). This is a long-distance walking route that takes in the ten highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales with a combined ascent of 22,000 feet (6,700 m).

Aye Gill Pike is a Marilyn in the Yorkshire Dales, the highest point of the ridge of Rise Hill between Dentdale and Garsdale in Cumbria, England.

Deepdale is a side valley of Dentdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Cumbria, England. It lies north west of the summit of Whernside.The dale is accessible by a narrow road which runs from Dent south to Kingsdale and Ingleton.

Calf Top is a mountain in the western part of the Yorkshire Dales, England. It is located in the county of Cumbria, although Lancashire and North Yorkshire are not far away. Calf Top is a dominating profile in the view from many of the smaller hills to its west, such as Lambrigg Fell and Hutton Roof Crags. Calf Top is separated from its neighbours, Great Coum and Aye Gill Pike by the deep trench of Barbondale, meaning that although it is lower than most of the hills in its region, it has high relative height and is a Marilyn.

The Clough River is a river in Cumbria, England. A tributary of the River Rawthey, it flows for 21.8 kilometres (13.5 mi) primarily through the Garsdale valley.

Millthrop is a hamlet in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, Northern England and the Yorkshire Dales. Millthrop lies on the south bank of the River Rawthey close to the town of Sedbergh.

Settlebeck School is a small coeducational secondary school with academy status. It is located in Sedbergh in the English county of Cumbria, drawing pupils from a radius of at least of ten miles, and a total number on roll of about 160.Previously a community school (Settlebeck High School) administered by Cumbria County Council, Settlebeck School converted to academy status on 1 August 2011. The school continues to coordinate with Cumbria County Council for admissions. Settlebeck High School offers GCSEs and ASDAN qualifications as programmes of study for pupils. The school also has a provision of vocational courses offered in conjunction with Kendal College.Settlebeck School is not to be confused with Sedbergh School which is a nearby independent boarding institution.
