University of Sheffield Management School

Crookesmoor Road is a main road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England connecting the districts of Crookes, Crookesmoor and Broomhill. It is one of the longest roads in Sheffield, and home of a large student population. The University of Sheffield School of Architecture is also based here. Crookesmoor Road is composed mainly of Victorian terraces, complete with cellars and small yards; the majority of houses are landlord-owned and rented to students at the University of Sheffield.

The Mount is a Grade II* listed building situated on Glossop Road in the Broomhill area of Sheffield in England. It stands just over 1.3 miles (2.1 km) west of the city centre. It is a neoclassical building which was originally a terrace of eight houses but since the 1950s has been used for commercial office space for various businesses. The building is part of the Broomhill Conservation Area, which was set up in March 1977 through an agreement with local residents and Sheffield City Council.

Crookes Valley Park is an area of public parkland in the Crookesmoor area of the City of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. The park lies just under two kilometres west of the City centre at 53.3834°N 1.4929°W / 53.3834; -1.4929. It is one of the three “Crookesmoor Parks” the other two being Weston Park and The Ponderosa.

Broomhill and Sharrow Vale — which includes the districts of Broomhill, Broomhall, Crookesmoor, Endcliffe, Sharrow Vale and Tapton Hill — is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. The ward was created following the 2015 local government boundary review out of parts of the old Broomhill, Central and Nether Edge wards. It is located in the western part of the city. The population of the Broomhill ward in 2011 was 16,966 people in 5,708 households, covering an area of 2.7 km2. Broomhill & Sharrow Vale is one of the wards that make up the Sheffield Central Parliamentary Constituency.

Weston Park Museum is a museum in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is one mile west of Sheffield city centre within Weston Park. It is Sheffield's largest museum and is housed in a Grade II* listed building and managed by Museums Sheffield. Until 2006 it was called Sheffield City Museum and Mappin Art Gallery.

The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is a general and teaching hospital located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is in the city's West End, facing Glossop Road and close to the main campus of University of Sheffield and the Collegiate Crescent campus of Sheffield Hallam University. The hospital is run by the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

King Edward VII School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England.

Wesley College, a school to educate the sons of the laity, opened in 1838 in new buildings designed by William Flockton on Glossop Road, Sheffield, England. It was founded by Rev. Samuel Dousland Waddy (1804–1876) to "supply a generally superior and classical education, combined with religious training in the principles of Methodism" and was initially called the "Wesleyan Proprietary Grammar School". The change in name to Wesley College seems to have taken place in 1844, when a "Royal Warrant, constituting the Sheffield Wesley College a college of the University of London was forwarded to Mr Waddy (subsequently Governor, from 1844 to 1862) by Sir James Graham, which empowered the college to issue certificates to candidates for examination for the several degrees of Bachelor and Master of Arts, and Bachelor and Doctor of Laws". A year later it spurred Rev. James Gillman, William Ferguson, William Stewart and Thomas Waugh in Dublin, Ireland to consider creating a similar school in Dublin. The school accepted its first 90 boarders on 8 August 1838. By 1841 the number of pupils had increased to 172. In 1905 Wesley College was purchased by Sheffield Council and merged with Sheffield Royal Grammar School to form King Edward VII School (Upper School Site), named after the reigning monarch. The building was recently refurbished, with the addition of a sports hall and science block, as part of the BSF programme

Crookes & Crosspool ward—which includes the districts of Crookes, Steelbank, Crosspool, and Sandygate —is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the western part of the city and covers an area of 3.9 km2. The population of this ward in 2011 was 17,700 people in 7,266 households.The current councillors for Crookes and Crosspool Ward are Minesh Parekh (Labour and Co-operative), Ruth Milsom (Labour), and Tim Huggan (Liberal Democrats). In the 2004 local elections Sylvia Anginotti, John Hesketh, and Brian Holmes, all Liberal Democrats, were returned as councillors for the newly drawn ward. John Hesketh was defeated by Labour's Geoff Smith in 2011. In the 2016 local elections that took place under redrawn boundaries, Labour's Anne Murphy and Craig Gamble-Pugh were returned along with the Liberal Democrats’ Adam Hanrahan. In 2018 Mohammed Mahroof defeated Labour's Craig Gamble-Pugh, leaving Anne Murphy as the only Labour Councillor within the Sheffield Hallam Constituency. In 2019 Liberal Democrat, Tim Huggan successfully defended the seat vacated by Adam Hanrahan. In 2021 Labour's Ruth Milsom successfully defended the seat vacated by Anne Murphy. In 2022, Liberal Democrat incumbent, Mohammed Mahroof, lost his seat to the Labour and Co-operative candidate, Minesh Parekh.Crookes and Crosspool ward is mostly located within Sheffield Hallam Parliamentary constituency. The local MP is Labour's Olivia Blake, who won the seat in December 2019. Parts of the ward also cross into the Sheffield Central constituency, represented by Labour's Paul Blomfield

The University of Sheffield Medical School is a medical school based at the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The school traces its history back to at least 1828. It operated independently until its merger with Firth College and Sheffield Technical School in 1897, and is now an integral part of Sheffield's Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health. The medical school consists of four academic and research departments, which are Academic Unit of Medical Education; Infection, Immunity and Cardiovascular Disease; Neuroscience; and Oncology and Metabolism, and is active in three fields of medicine: teaching, researching and practising. Sheffield was ranked 12th in the UK in clinical, pre-clinical and health in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. As of 2020, its five-year MBChB programme admits 273 home students and a further 18 overseas students per year. It is a founding member of the UCAT consortium and one of 32 bodies entitled by the General Medical Council to award medical degrees in the UK.
