Holmbush is a village in Cornwall, England that is situated in the suburban area of St Austell (where the population at the 2011 census was included). It was a centre for tin and copper mining in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, with a few houses to the south of the A390 road. It was developed in the 1970s, with the construction of housing and an industrial estate to the north of the road. Since 1974, the site of Cuddra mine has been developed as Pinetum Gardens, an attraction holding over 6,000 varieties of plants, many collected by the owner on plant hunting expeditions.

The Shipwreck Treasure Museum (previously the Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre) located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Charlestown, Cornwall, England, is a historical museum housing over 8,000 artifacts from over 150 different shipwrecks. Artifacts include the only intact barrel of coins ever recovered from a wreck, and items relating to famous shipwrecks, including the RMS Titanic and HMS Victory. In 2019 the historic network of tunnels beneath the museum (originally built to transport China Clay) were reopened to the public as 'Charlestown Underground'.

The new parish is part coastal and part rural in character. It includes the settlements of Carlyon Bay, Garker and Tregrehan Mills and is represented by nine councillors.Carlyon Bay, the principal settlement in the parish, is approximately two miles (3 km) east of St Austell.

The Clay Trails are a series of bicycle trails located in mid Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The trails pass through the St Austell moorland which for over two centuries has been extensively quarried for china clay, hence the name. The trails are separated into several routes.

St Austell Bay (Cornish: Baya Ti war Dreth) is a bay on Cornwall's south coast which is bounded to the east by Gribbin Head and to the west by Black Head.Since 1 April 2009, it has also been the name of a civil parish, one of four new parishes created on for the St Austell area. It lies southeast of the town of St Austell and stretches along the coast from Charlestown in the north to Black Head in the south. It includes the communities of Charlestown, Duporth, Porthpean (Higher and Lower Porthpean) and Trenarren and is represented by seven councillors.In 2023, a 887-acre (359 ha) seagrass meadow, one of the largest in the UK, was discovered off the coast of St Austell Bay. Divers which were sent in to examine the site recorded 56 species living there, which included short-snouted seahorses and broadnosed pipefish. The divers also examined beds of maerl a little further out from the coast, where they found an additional 66 species, including the curled octopus and streaked gurnard.
