Warendorf (German pronunciation: [ˈvaːʁəndɔʁf]) is a Kreis (district) in the northern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Neighboring districts are Steinfurt, Osnabrück (district), Gütersloh, Soest, district-free city Hamm, Coesfeld and the district-free city Münster.

Everswinkel is a municipality in Warendorf District, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated some 30 km north of Hamm and 15 km east of Münster.

Ahlen is part of the District of Warendorf and is economically the most important town in that district. Ahlen is part of the larger Münster region, and of the historic Münsterland area. The nearby villages of Dolberg, Vorhelm and Tönnishäuschen are part of Ahlen, as well. The largest neighboring town is the city of Hamm to the southwest.

Warendorf (German pronunciation: [ˈvaːʁənˌdɔʁf] , Westphalian: Warnduorp) is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and capital of Warendorf District. The town is best known today for its well-preserved medieval town centre, for horse-riding, and the opportunities it provides for cycling. Bicycles are such a common means of transport in the area that many cycle paths have been built, even alongside main roads outside the town.

The Holzbach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Ems in Warendorf.

The Ahlen water tower is an industrial monument and landmark in the Ahlen, Germany. The spherical water tank is 44 metres (144 ft) high and has a capacity of 1,000 cubic metres (35,000 cu ft). From 1915 to 1917, the water tower served as the sole water supply for the Westphalia mine and the miners colony built in 1892 by Gelsenwasser AG. Today the distinctive blue water tower is monument and is a historical example of the early development of riveting at the beginning of the 20th century.

Neubeckum station is a passenger station in the district of Neubeckum, part the Westphalian town of Beckum in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was established in 1847. The village of Neubeckum (literally "new Beckum") was established in 1847 at the railway station, six km from Beckum. It lies on the Hamm–Minden railway, one of the most heavily trafficked lines in Germany. It has an hourly Regional-Express service, the Rhein-Weser-Express (RE 6) on the Düsseldorf–Dortmund–Bielefeld–Minden route as well as an hourly Regionalbahn service, the Ems-Börde-Bahn (RB 69) on the Münster)–Hamm–Bielefeld route, so there is a service about every half an hour. Both lines were previously operated by DB Regio NRW. In December 2008, eurobahn, based in Hamm, took over the operation of RB 69. Neubeckum is still a railway junction. At Neubeckum station the Münster–Warstein railway of the Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn (Westphalian State Railway) crosses the Hamm–Minden railway. Its purpose is mainly to bring high-purity limestone from the Warstein limestone quarries to the cement plants to the north at Ennigerloh. Neubeckum's former cement plants have closed. Until 1975, the Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn operated passenger services, including to Münster, Warendorf and Lippstadt. The line is still used for the operation of steam-hauled museum trains from Münster via Neubeckum to Lippstadt, Erwitte, Anröchte and Warstein.

The Axtbach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It flows into the Ems near Warendorf. The Axtbach is approximately 19 miles long from headwater to mouth. The headwaters of Axtbach come from an unnamed waterway in the city of Oelde combining with Mülenbach.
