Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a 57-acre (0.23 km2) California State Park located just southwest of downtown Culver City. To some Los Angeles area residents, the site is more commonly known as the Culver City Stairs. This outdoor staircase is designed into the trails leading up to a view of the greater Los Angeles area. The park is being restored as a habitat with native California plants and is “home to a variety of snakes, small mammals, and birds.”In addition to the stairs, there is a switchback trail that crosses the stair landings at several points. The paved road (for car drivers and bicyclists) up the visitor center parking lot has a parallel pedestrian stair case for most of the route. The scenic overlook park is part of the larger Park to Playa Trail that connects the Baldwin Hills parklands to the beach.

Rancho Rincón de los Bueyes was a 3,127-acre (12.65 km2) land grant in present-day Los Angeles County, California, given in 1821 to Bernardo Higuera and Cornelio Lopez by Pablo Vicente de Sola, the Spanish Governor of Alta California. In 1843, this Spanish grant was confirmed by Mexican Governor Manuel Micheltorena. Rincón, translated from Spanish, means corner or nook, and Bueyes are oxen or steer.

Dr. Paul Carlson Park, or, more commonly, Carlson Park, is a small park located in the Carlson Park neighborhood of Culver City, California. It is linear in shape and intended for passive recreational use, featuring open grassy spaces as well as picnic and barbecue facilities. It is named for Dr. Paul Carlson, a former resident of Culver City whose martyrdom in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1964 attracted national attention. In the summer, Culver City Public Theater gives free public theatrical performances in the park.

Camp Latham was a temporary United States Army tent camp in Los Angeles County, California extant from fall 1861 to fall 1862 in the military District of Southern California during the American Civil War. Camp Latham was located on the south bank of Ballona Creek, approximately .75 mi (1.21 km) southwest of what is now called Culver City station. Short-lived Camp Kellogg was located nearby, just north across the creek.

West Los Angeles College (West L.A. College or WLAC) is a public community college in Culver City, Los Angeles County, California. It is part of the California Community Colleges System and the Los Angeles Community College District. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges. The school offers associate degrees including 18 vocational-oriented programs in addition to 25 transfer programs. The college awards more than 600 degrees and certificates annually in 39 fields. Beginning in the fall of 2016, WLAC became one of only 15 community colleges in the State of California approved to offer a bachelor's degree. The bachelor's degree awarded at WLAC is in Dental Hygiene.

The Culver Studios is a film studio in Culver City, California. Originally created by silent movie pioneer Thomas H. Ince, classics from Hollywood's Golden Age were filmed there. It is currently owned by Hackman Capital Partners, which completely modernized the lot — more than doubling its size — for next-generation entertainment, while preserving the site's historic structures. The studios have operated under a multitude of names: Ince Studio (1918-1925), De Mille Studios (1925–1928), Pathé Studios (1928–1931), RKO-Pathé Studios (1931–1935), Selznick International Pictures (1935–1956), Desilu-Culver Studios (1956–1970), Culver City Studios (1970–1977), and Laird International Studios (1977–1986). Through all these name changes, the site was also commonly called "40 Acres" by entertainment industry insiders, although it was never actually 40 acres (16 hectares) in size.Many classics from Hollywood's Golden Age were filmed there, including Gone with the Wind (1939), A Star is Born (1937), Intermezzo (1939) and Rebecca (1940).The Culver Studios was also used for television shows such as The Andy Griffith Show, Lassie, Batman, The Nanny and, more recently, Scrubs, Arrested Development and Cougar Town.Eccentric businessman Howard Hughes once had a stake in the studio as well as filmmakers Cecil B. DeMille and David O. Selznick.

The Kirk Douglas Theatre is a 317-seat theater located in Culver City, California. Since 2004, it has been operated by the Center Theatre Group.

RKO Forty Acres was a film studio backlot in the United States, owned by RKO Pictures (and later Desilu Productions), located in Culver City, California. Best known as Forty Acres and "the back forty," it was also called "Desilu Culver," the "RKO backlot," and "Pathé 40 Acre Ranch," depending on which studio owned the property at the time. For nearly 50 years it was known for its outdoor full-scale sets, such as Western Street, Atlanta Street, and Main Street and was used in many films (including King Kong (1933) and Gone with the Wind (1939)) and television series (such as Bonanza and Star Trek).The property was a triangular parcel of 28.5 acres (11.5 ha), a few blocks from RKO-Pathe (later Selznick, Desilu-Culver, now "The Culver Studios") which was situated to the west. It was bounded by Higuera Street to the north, West Jefferson Boulevard, Ballona Creek and Culver City Park to the south, and Lucerne Avenue to the west. In 1976 it was razed for redevelopment. Today it is known as the southern expansion of the Hayden Industrial Tract. A number of the buildings in the industrial park have been converted to television studios. One of the shows produced at the park is Hell's Kitchen.

The Culver Hotel is a national historical landmark in downtown Culver City, California. It was built by Harry Culver, the founder of Culver City, and opened on September 4, 1924, with local headlines announcing: "City packed with visitors for opening of Culver skyscraper." Originally named Hotel Hunt, and later known as Culver City Hotel, the six-story Renaissance Revival building was designed by Curlett & Beelman, the architecture firm behind renowned Art Deco buildings throughout Los Angeles, including downtown Los Angeles's Roosevelt and Eastern Columbia buildings. As Culver City became a movie-making mecca beginning in the 1920s, the hotel welcomed legendary stars, some maintaining private residences for months at a time. Culver himself kept his office there. Over the next few decades, the property fell into disrepair. In the 1980s, it was boarded up for a time and at risk of demolition. In the 1990s, the hotel was partially restored and reopened, joining the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Hotel restoration began in earnest in 2007 after a hotelier family purchased the property. Plumbing and electrical systems were upgraded, guestrooms and public spaces have been redone, handmade windows replaced, and public spaces re-imagined while maintaining the property's architectural integrity. The Culver Hotel also hosts live jazz and special events. The flatiron-shaped building is next door to the historic Culver Studios and a few blocks from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, now Sony Pictures. The Culver Hotel has appeared in films and television, including Under the Rainbow, the Our Gang short Honkey Donkey, The Wonder Years, Party of Five, 7th Heaven, Last Action Hero, Sledge Hammer!, Stuart Little 2, Bones, Cougar Town, Perry Mason, and Touch.

CulverLand was a temporary artwork and functioning game in Culver City, California, United States, created by John Derevlany. It was funded by an arts grant from the City of Culver City, California, and installed as part of the 2010 Indiecade, the International Festival of Independent Games. In "CulverLand," pedestrians were the playing pieces. Players would move forward on the game board based on the colors of passing cars. The colors of the gameboard in "CulverLand" - black, white, gray/silver, blue, red, and green - were based on the six most popular car colors in North America. "CulverLand" was a sprawling work of Minimalism inspired by Piet Mondrian and, more importantly, Milton Bradley (maker of the game "Candyland"). It was meant to celebrate the play grid common in games, as well as finding a fun use for traffic. "CulverLand" was located near the Culver Hotel in Culver City, California, on the sidewalk just east of 9400 Culver Blvd. It was 90 feet long and 18 feet wide. Each square on the gameboard was 6 ft. X 6 ft. Most of the squares were installed with an eco-friendly, temporary marking paint called EZ-Paint. Lettering and logos were applied with giant, hand-cut plastic stencils and non-toxic Mythic paint. "CulverLand" was scheduled for removal November 1, 2010.

Culver City is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 40,779. In the 1920s, the city became a center for film and later television production, best known as the home of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios from 1924 to 1986. From 1932 to 1986, it was the headquarters for the Hughes Aircraft Company. National Public Radio West and Sony Pictures Entertainment have headquarters in the city. The city was named after its founder, Harry Culver. It is mostly surrounded by the city of Los Angeles, but also shares a border with the unincorporated area of Ladera Heights.

Southern California Hospital at Culver City is an acute care hospital in Culver City, California. The hospital is located in Culver City's downtown area. The hospital serves West Los Angeles; providing 24 hour medical service. The hospital is home to the Southern California Hospital Heart Institute. The hospital expanded from its original eight-bed clinic to 420 beds in three buildings.
