The Citizens Publishing Company Building is a historic building in Culver City, California, U.S.. It was built in 1929. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since February 12, 1987. It is currently home to Citizen Public Market.

CulverLand was a temporary artwork and functioning game in Culver City, California, United States, created by John Derevlany. It was funded by an arts grant from the City of Culver City, California, and installed as part of the 2010 Indiecade, the International Festival of Independent Games. In "CulverLand," pedestrians were the playing pieces. Players would move forward on the game board based on the colors of passing cars. The colors of the gameboard in "CulverLand" - black, white, gray/silver, blue, red, and green - were based on the six most popular car colors in North America. "CulverLand" was a sprawling work of Minimalism inspired by Piet Mondrian and, more importantly, Milton Bradley (maker of the game "Candyland"). It was meant to celebrate the play grid common in games, as well as finding a fun use for traffic. "CulverLand" was located near the Culver Hotel in Culver City, California, on the sidewalk just east of 9400 Culver Blvd. It was 90 feet long and 18 feet wide. Each square on the gameboard was 6 ft. X 6 ft. Most of the squares were installed with an eco-friendly, temporary marking paint called EZ-Paint. Lettering and logos were applied with giant, hand-cut plastic stencils and non-toxic Mythic paint. "CulverLand" was scheduled for removal November 1, 2010.

The Culver Hotel is a national historical landmark in downtown Culver City, California. It was built by Harry Culver, the founder of Culver City, and opened on September 4, 1924, with local headlines announcing: "City packed with visitors for opening of Culver skyscraper." Originally named Hotel Hunt, and later known as Culver City Hotel, the six-story Renaissance Revival building was designed by Curlett & Beelman, the architecture firm behind renowned Art Deco buildings throughout Los Angeles, including downtown Los Angeles's Roosevelt and Eastern Columbia buildings. As Culver City became a movie-making mecca beginning in the 1920s, the hotel welcomed legendary stars, some maintaining private residences for months at a time. Culver himself kept his office there. Over the next few decades, the property fell into disrepair. In the 1980s, it was boarded up for a time and at risk of demolition. In the 1990s, the hotel was partially restored and reopened, joining the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Hotel restoration began in earnest in 2007 after a hotelier family purchased the property. Plumbing and electrical systems were upgraded, guestrooms and public spaces have been redone, handmade windows replaced, and public spaces re-imagined while maintaining the property's architectural integrity. The Culver Hotel also hosts live jazz and special events. The flatiron-shaped building is next door to the historic Culver Studios and a few blocks from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, now Sony Pictures. The Culver Hotel has appeared in films and television, including Under the Rainbow, the Our Gang short Honkey Donkey, The Wonder Years, Party of Five, 7th Heaven, Last Action Hero, Sledge Hammer!, Stuart Little 2, Bones, Cougar Town, Perry Mason, and Touch.

Ivy Substation (also known as the Ivy Park Substation or Culver Substation) is a 99-seat theatre in Culver City, California which formerly housed power equipment for the nearby electric railways and Ivy station. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Robertson Boulevard is a street in Los Angeles, in the U.S. state of California, that also passes through the incorporated cities of West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Culver City.

The Museum of Jurassic Technology at 9341 Venice Boulevard in the Palms district of Los Angeles, California, was founded by David Hildebrand Wilson and Diana Drake Wilson in 1988. It calls itself "an educational institution dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and the public appreciation of the Lower Jurassic", the relevance of the term "Lower Jurassic" to the museum's collections being left uncertain and unexplained. The museum's collection includes a mixture of artistic, scientific, ethnographic, and historic items, as well as some unclassifiable exhibits; the diversity evokes the cabinets of curiosities that were the 16th-century predecessors of modern natural-history museums. The factual claims of many of the museum's exhibits strain credibility, provoking an array of interpretations. David Hildebrand Wilson received a MacArthur Foundation fellowship in 2001.

Rancho Rincón de los Bueyes was a 3,127-acre (12.65 km2) land grant in present-day Los Angeles County, California, given in 1821 to Bernardo Higuera and Cornelio Lopez by Pablo Vicente de Sola, the Spanish Governor of Alta California. In 1843, this Spanish grant was confirmed by Mexican Governor Manuel Micheltorena. Rincón, translated from Spanish, means corner or nook, and Bueyes are oxen or steer.

The Bhagavad-gita Museum, officially the Diorama-museum of Bhagavad-gita, also known as the First American Transcendental Exhibition (FATE), is a multimedia art museum located in West Los Angeles, California. Established in 1977, it is dedicated to illustrating the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita and is owned and operated by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

The Kirk Douglas Theatre is a 317-seat theater located in Culver City, California. Since 2004, it has been operated by the Center Theatre Group.

Southern California Hospital at Culver City is an acute care hospital in Culver City, California. The hospital is located in Culver City's downtown area. The hospital serves West Los Angeles; providing 24 hour medical service. The hospital is home to the Southern California Hospital Heart Institute. The hospital expanded from its original eight-bed clinic to 420 beds in three buildings.

Culver City station is an elevated light rail station on the E Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. The station is located on a dedicated right-of-way alongside Exposition Boulevard — between the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Robertson Boulevard on the west and the intersection of Washington Boulevard and National Boulevard on the east. The station is located in the city of Culver City, California, after which the station is named. The station served as the western terminus of the line from its opening on June 20, 2012, until the opening of the extension of the line to Santa Monica on May 20, 2016.

The Lawrence and Martha Joseph Residence and Apartments, often called the Hobbit Houses, are a landmarked example of the Storybook style of architecture in Los Angeles, California. The informal name "Hobbit Houses" is due to their supposed resemblance to the architecture of Tolkien's Shire.Some of the "Fantasy Revival" architectural details include "odd-shaped windows with leaded glass, rustic stone hewn walls, a rough cut cupola, and sloping, uneven roof tiles.”The builder, Lawrence Joseph, worked for Walt Disney Studios and Lockheed aerospace company, and built the apartment complex in his spare time. An expert sailor, Joseph included nautical elements in many aspects of the interior design, including galley-style kitchens and "vertical-grain boat planking ... in eccentric circles on the floors".According to one source, "The property boasts of having no door knobs and no 90 degree angles anywhere inside the homes." Rather than door knobs, "Doors open with boat latches and levers, all fashioned by Joseph. Jauntily knotted ropes serve as pulls on many of the drawers."One architectural historian working with the Los Angeles Conservancy told the Los Angeles Times, "It's almost like a folk art environment along the lines of the Watts Towers."The property consists of seven apartments spread across a former single-family residence and two additional two-unit buildings constructed by Joseph.In 2014, The Washington Post reported on a rental listing for a place in the original building: The main house features two bedrooms and one bath, plus a huge bonus room that could be an office or den. The living room that is situated around an original stone fireplace features stained glass windows, nautical details and a bar that is perfect for entertaining. The quaint kitchen comes with a mini-fridge that is built in. two bedrooms sit behind a wooden plank door and offer great sunlight, and a view of the fountain and pond at the front of the house. The sparkling green tiled bathroom features a tub/shower combo with a large vanity and great custom built ins. The house also features a third bonus room off of the kitchen that could easily be used as an extra bedroom or entertaining space. After Joseph died in 1991, Martha became the sole owner of the property until she died in 2004; Martha "donated an easement on the complex to the Los Angeles Conservancy" to keep the property intact.
