Happy Valley Reservoir

Happy Valley is a metropolitan suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located 20 km south of the Central Business District of Adelaide. Within the suburb is the Happy Valley Reservoir accompanied by South Australia's largest water treatment plant, responsible for supplying water to much of the Adelaide metropolitan area. Although it is now encompassed by suburbs, it still retains a relatively semi-rural character due to retention of native flora and vegetation surrounding the Happy Valley Reservoir, as well as parklands and golf courses along its border.

O'Halloran Hill is a suburb in the south of Adelaide, South Australia, situated on the hills south of the O'Halloran Hill Escarpment, which rises from the Adelaide Plains and located 18 km from the city centre via the Main South Road. The suburb is split between the Cities of Marion and Onkaparinga, and it neighbours Happy Valley, Hallett Cove, Trott Park and Darlington. It includes a large area of farmland and commercial vineyards known as the Glenthorne Estate.

Reynella East College (REC), formerly Reynella East Primary & Reynella East High, is a public school for students from Reception to Year 12, located on Malbeck Drive in the southern Adelaide suburb of Reynella East, South Australia. Reynella East College was opened in 2011 after the formal closure of Reynella East Primary and Reynella East High. The Primary section first opened in 1979 (43 years ago), while the High School section opened in 1981 (41 years ago).

Aberfoyle Park is a suburb in the City of Onkaparinga in the state of South Australia. It is located in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, approximately 20 km from the city centre. Aberfoyle Park has a shopping mall called "The Hub", several primary schools and a public high school, one of the biggest in the state. Aberfoyle Park is served by the Adelaide Metro bus routes G20, G21 and G22, which connect the suburb to Adelaide's city centre.

Happy Valley is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It was a ground level stopping place during the passenger transport days of this line, and a 1965 reference mentioned that it was no longer used at that date. A road bridge, carrying South Road on a diversion by-passing Reynella, crossed the line shortly after Happy Valley. The stop is now completely destroyed, the entire Willunga railway line having been dismantled in 1972, and the site is now the location of the Panalatinga Road interchange of the Southern Expressway and Main South Road.

The Sturt Gorge Recreation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in the suburbs of Bellevue Heights, Craigburn Farm and Flagstaff Hill within the Adelaide metropolitan area about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) south of the Adelaide central business district.The park was established in 1973. and protects an area recognised as an area of great geological significance. It channels the Sturt River down to the Adelaide Plains. The Sturt Tillite formation was the first area in the world to provide definite evidence of Cryogenian glaciation (the Snowball Earth). It is hypothesised that the landform was created from glacial material that dropped from ice floating in the ocean which covered the area 800 million years ago.Fires of any kind are prohibited in the park.It is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area. In 1980, the recreation park was listed on the former Register of the National Estate.

Trott Park is a suburb in the south of Adelaide, South Australia. It has a population of 3,503 people (2016 Census). It is surrounded in most part by open space: the O'Halloran Hill Recreation Park, and Roseworthy Park, a former CSIRO landhold. It is also bordered by Sheidow Park, Hallett Cove and O'Halloran Hill. The Onkaparinga TAFE and Southern Expressway are situated close to the suburb. The Coast to Vines rail trail passes through the suburb. Trott Park is in the City of Marion local government area, the South Australian House of Assembly electoral district of Black and the Australian House of Representatives Division of Kingston.

Glenthorne National Park–Ityamaiitpinna Yarta is a national park in the southern Adelaide suburb of O'Halloran Hill, 16 km (9.9 mi) south of the city centre. The park opened to the public in November 2020, and as of 2021 O'Halloran Hill Recreation Park is in the process of transitioning to become part of it. It includes the nearby Glenthorne Estate, and will connect with other parks and parcels of land in Adelaide's south to form the Glenthorne Precinct. These include Hallett Cove Conservation Park, Marino Conservation Park, areas of the Field River Valley and the Happy Valley Reservoir.The Kaurna people are the traditional owners of the greater Adelaide region, including this area, and still maintain a deep relationship with Country, which they have done for tens of thousands of years through their customs and Tjukurpa. Tjukurpa, which includes cultural stories and lore, will profoundly influence the way the Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta is managed.The park includes important greybox (a type of eucalypt grassy woodland, and more than 90 species of birds have been spotted within its boundaries, including: Adelaide rosella - Platycercusadelaidae Grey fantail - Rhipidura albiscapa Kookaburra - Dacelo novaeguineae Willie wagtail - Rhipidura leucophrys Yellow-tailed black cockatoo - Calyptorhynchus funereus Yellow-faced honeyeater - Lichenostomus chrysops

Hurtle Vale is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly, located in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election.Hurtle Vale is a new electorate replacing the electoral district of Fisher. It is named after Sir James Hurtle Fisher, the same as its predecessor. Hurtle Vale is further southwest than Fisher was before the redistribution, with overlap only in the northeast of Hurtle Vale with the southwest of Fisher. At the time of the redistribution, 9000 electors from Fisher remained in Hurtle Vale. 10,000 moved with the suburb of Morphett Vale from Reynell and smaller numbers from Mawson and Mitchell.At its creation, Hurtle Vale was projected to be notionally held by the Labor Party with a swing of 1.7% required to lose it.: Appendix 12  Nat Cook, who won Fisher at a by-election in 2014 for Labor, won Hurtle Vale at the 2018 election.

Woodcroft is a metropolitan suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located 20 km south of the Central Business District of Adelaide. It is bordered to the north by Reynell Road, to the south by Bains Road, to the west by Panalatinga Road and by the Hills Face Zone to the east. The Panalatinga Creek also runs through the suburb.
