Plymouth Parkway Football Club is a football club based in Plymouth, Devon, England. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division South and play at Bolitho Park.

Truro City Football Club (Cornish: Klub Peldroes Truru) is an English football club based in Truro, Cornwall. They compete in the National League South, at the sixth tier of the English football league system. They are the highest ranked club from Cornwall. The club had previously played in what was known as the Conference South in 2011, following five promotions in six seasons. They were relegated at the end of the 2012–13 season after going into administration, but returned to that level, now known as the National League South, in 2015, before being relegated back to the Southern League in 2019. They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951 and won the title five times in their history. Apart from a three-season spell in the 1970s, when they played in the Cornwall Combination after losing their ground as part of a by-pass development, they remained in the South Western League until 2006, when they joined the Western Football League, achieving promotion from Division One to the Premier Division in their first season. Truro were FA Cup regulars throughout the 1950s, but subsequently they were sporadic entrants until a permanent return to the competition in the 2006–07 season, their first appearance in 13 years, then in 2017 they reached the first round for the first time in their history losing away to Charlton Athletic. They won the FA Vase in 2006–07.

Devonport High School for Girls is a selective girls' state grammar school with academy status (ages 11–18) in Plymouth, England.

Woodland (or Woodlands) Fort is a Royal Commission Fort built in the 1860s as part of Lord Palmerston's ring of land defences for Plymouth, England. Currently owned by Plymouth City Council, the site is in use but largely derelict.

Bolitho Park is a football stadium in Plymouth, England, which is the home of Plymouth Parkway, of The Southern League Premier Division South. It currently has a capacity of 3,500, 250 seated. For the 2021–22 season, it was also the home of Truro City, of The National League South.The site shares an entrance point with the Manadon Sports Hub, home of Plymouth Argyle L.F.C.

Honicknowle is an area and ward of the city of Plymouth in the English county of Devon. It borders with West Park, Crownhill, Ham, Whitleigh and Pennycross areas of Plymouth. It was previously part of Knackersknowle.

Peverell Park was a cricket ground in Plymouth, Devon. The ground was located close to Plymouth Argyle's home ground, Home Park. Plymouth Cricket Club initially played at Beacon Park, but by 1924 the pitches there became unavailable for cricket, necessitating the club to find a new home venue. Land was acquired from a farm and work to level and lay turf began, with this being completed in time for the 1925 season, complete a pavilion which cost £365. The ground was shortly thereafter incorporated into Central Park, with the cricket ground quickly becoming one of the most prestigious cricket venues in South West England. Devon first played minor counties cricket at Peverell Park in the 1926 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall. For the first eight years of its existence, the ground was known to have a seven-metre height difference sloping from one side to the other; this was addressed between the end of the 1933 season and the start of the 1934 season, when it was levelled; it was noted that the outfield was soft and slow after these works. The original pavilion was adjudged to be inadequate by 1937, with a replacement being constructed according to a design by Plymouth city architect E. G. Catchpole. This was completed at a cost of £4,000 and was opened in August 1938 by Lionel Palairet. The pavilion was only used for one year prior to the Second World War and was requisitioned during the war as a makeshift school for the next eight years. Peverell Park later hosted one List A cricket match in the 1972 Benson & Hedges Cup, when the Minor Counties South played Somerset. Somerset's Richard Cooper made 95 in a low-scoring match. Devon intermittently played minor counties cricket there until 1975, playing twenty Minor Counties Championship matches there. In the grounds later years, Plymouth Cricket Club struggled with its financial upkeep. In 1993, plans were announced to turn the ground into a wider sporting complex, followed by further plans in 1997 for the construction of a leisure centre. Neither of these came to fruition. With increasingly dilapidated facilities and the constant threat of eviction, Plymouth Cricket Club vacated Peverell Park in 2009, moving to the old United Services Ground at Mount Wise. The ground has since fallen into disrepair and the pavilion has been demolished.

North Prospect, previously officially named and still colloquially known as Swilly, is an area in Plymouth.

Home Park is a football stadium in Plymouth, England. The ground has been the home of EFL Championship club Plymouth Argyle since 1901.After undergoing considerable development in the 1920s and 1930s, the ground suffered heavy damage in World War II. It reopened in time for the resumption of the Football League in 1945, and underwent further improvements in the 1950s, including the installation of floodlights and a new double-decker grandstand. The ground remained relatively unchanged until 2001, when construction of three new all-seater stands began. Temporary solutions saw the stadium become all-seater in the summer of 2007, before the Mayflower Grandstand, the oldest part of the ground, was redeveloped in 2019. The stadium's record attendance was in 1936, when 43,596 spectators watched the club play a Second Division match against Aston Villa. The record average attendance for a single season, 23,290, came in the 1946–47 season. The stadium was selected as part of England's 2018 FIFA World Cup bid by the FA in December 2009. The ground has played host to England youth internationals, and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup match between Saint-Étienne and Manchester United in 1977. Home Park has also hosted Rugby union and athletics, and live music in the summer, with Elton John, George Michael and Rod Stewart among the acts who have performed at the ground.

Milehouse is a late Victorian and 1930s suburb of Plymouth. It is now notable for a substantial traffic junction, the vast depot base of the local city bus company, a Wetherspoons pub and an undertaker. Formerly it was famous for the site of Outland House, the large family home of Robert Falcon Scott, who led the tragic British expedition to the South Pole and died on the return journey. The area borders Plymouth's huge Central Park and is a meeting point for supporters and police before and after local football games at adjacent Home Park, the ground of Plymouth Argyle football club. It is a reputable area with good facilities and is convenient to the city centre, the nightlife zones, the parkland and the main road in and out of town.

Knowles Battery is a former 19th-century fort, built as a result of the Royal Commission on National Defence of 1859. Part of an extensive scheme known as Palmerston Forts, after the prime minister who championed the scheme, it was built to defend the landward approaches to the north east of Plymouth, as an element of the plan for the defence of the Royal Naval Dockyard at Devonport. Designed by Captain (later Maj General) Edmund Frederick Du Cane, it was built by George Baker and Company and finished by the Royal Engineers. It was designed to be armed with thirteen guns. Fire from the battery linked with nearby Woodlands Fort and Agaton FortBy the early 1900s the fort had become obsolete as a defensive position and was disarmed. It was sold by the War Department in 1930. A school was built on the site in the 1960s. Knowles Battery was listed as a scheduled monument in 1973. It is now part of Knowle Primary School.
