Wildwood Park (also spelled Wildewood) is a suburban, planned community in Winnipeg that has a central green space and no front roads (only back alleys), with communal walkways, playgrounds, and parks. Nearly all of the original houses are based on five variations of three basic designs, pre-fabricated in one section of the site. The site plan concept is based on the Radburn community design of architects Henry Wright and Clarence Stein who advocated the idea of designing neighbourhoods for the "motor age". It varies from the original in the introduction of crescents (or loops) as the local access roads. It was developed in 1946–47 by Hubert Bird and designed by Green, Blankstein, Russell (GBR). It is well known as an early example of the Radburn pattern, which has found extensive application in the second half of the 20th century. It presages the emergence of the fused grid that uses the same principle of filtered permeability.

As of the 2016 census, Elm Park had a population of 1,715.

Varennes is a neighbourhood in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, located in the northern section of the district of St. Vital. It is a small triangular neighbourhood located, and is bounded by St. Mary's Road on the west, Fermor Avenue on the south, and St. Anne's Road (Trans-Canada Highway) on the east. In the 2001 census, Varennes had a population of 1,080.The neighbourhood was named for Pierre Gaultier de Varennes, sieur de La Vérendrye, an early French explorer in the district. It is in the federal riding of Saint Boniface—Saint Vital and the provincial riding of St. Vital.

Riel is a provincial electoral division or riding in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1968, and has formally existed since the provincial election of 1969. The riding is located in the south-central region of Winnipeg, Manitoba's capital and largest city, and is named after Louis Riel, the leader of the 1870 Red River Rebellion. Riel is bordered to the south by Seine River, to the east and north by St. Vital, and to the west by of Fort Garry and Fort Richmond, across the Red River of the North. The riding's population in 1996 was 20,228. The riding's character is mostly middle- and upper middle-class. In 1999, the average family income was $63,126, and the unemployment rate was 5.50%. Nine percent of the riding's residents are francophone. The service industry accounts for 15% of Riel's economy, followed by health and social services at 12.5%. Riel has more often been represented by candidates of the Progressive Conservative Party than the New Democratic Party (NDP).The current MLA is Progressive Conservative Rochelle Squires. The previous MLA was Christine Melnick of the NDP, who won with 53% of votes cast in 2003 and 60% in the 2007 Manitoba election.

The Elm Park Bridge, sometimes locally referred to as the BDI Bridge or the Ice Cream Bridge, is a steel truss bridge over the Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba.It links Kingston Crescent in the neighbourhood of St. Vital with Jubilee Avenue in the neighbourhood of Fort Rouge. Built in 1912 and opened in 1914, it is the fourth-oldest bridge in Winnipeg after the Redwood, Louise, and Arlington. The bridge has a deck measuring 16 feet (4.9 m) wide; though initially open to two-way vehicular traffic, it was closed to vehicles in 1974, remaining accessible to only pedestrians and cyclists ever since.The nickname "BDI Bridge" is derived from the popular ice-cream vendor, Bridge Drive-In (BDI), that sits adjacent to the bridge. In turn, BDI itself is so-named because of its proximity to the Elm Park Bridge.

The St. Vital Historical Society is the non-profit organization that operates the St. Vital Museum, a civic museum dedicated to the former City of St. Vital, now a ward of Winnipeg, Manitoba.Located at 600 St. Mary's Road, the 2-storey building is a fire hall built in 1914 that housed both the St. Vital Police and Fire Departments. The fire hall was designated as a heritage building in 1982, the Historical Society was established in 1994, and the museum was officially opened on 24 May 2008.The main attraction is a fire truck from 1939. The museum also features exhibits on local history including early settlers, Métis history, military history, the 1950 Red River Flood, and local musicians. The successful Winnipeg-based rock band The Guess Who donated a collection of master tapes and videos from their long history in 2018. A large doll collection donated by local residents is also on display. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 4 with winter hours on Saturday only. The Museum is affiliated with: CMA, CHIN, and Virtual Museum of Canada.

The St. Vital Curling Club, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a curling club in Western Canada and was founded in 1933. It started curling events in December 1933 in a building that was owned by the St. Vital Agricultural Society which it purchased in 1950. It was then moved to its current location in 1954 on Regal Avenue in Winnipeg.The club hosted it first Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in 1974. 2017-2018 President - Pam Kok 2018-2020 President - Ken Stevens 2020-2022 President - Jason Pruden 2022-current President - Kevin Blunden It is the home curling club of 2014 Olympic curling champions Jennifer Jones, Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn McEwen as well as 2018 Olympic Doubles curling champion Kaitlyn Lawes.

St. Vital (French: Saint-Vital) is a ward and neighbourhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Located in the south-central part of the city, it is bounded on the north by Carrière Avenue; on the south by the northern limit of the Rural Municipality of Ritchot; on the west by the Red River; and on the east by the Seine River, except for the part lying south of the Perimeter Highway, which extends east across the Seine to the boundary of the RM of Springfield. The population as of the 2016 census was 67,580.Merging with Winnipeg in 1972, St. Vital was established in 1880 as a rural municipality, called the RM of St. Boniface. After the Town of Saint Boniface was formed in 1883, the RM continued operating as its own government, and was renamed to the Rural Municipality of St. Vital in 1903 to avoid confusion. In 1960, it became part of the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg, achieving city status soon after in 1962 until the Winnipeg merger.As a city ward, St. Vital is represented by a member of Winnipeg City Council. With slightly different boundaries, it also comprises the Winnipeg neighbourhood clusters of St. Vital North and St. Vital South.
