Grand Lodge of Ohio

The New England Lodge, at 634 N. High St. in Worthington, Ohio, was built in 1820. It was asserted to be, in 1999, the Masonic lodge longest in use for Masonic purposes west of the Allegheny Mountains.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.In 2016, there were plans to convert much of the lodge building into condominiums, although reserving part to serve as a Masonic museum and offices.

St. John's Episcopal Church was founded in 1804 by James Kilbourne, the same Episcopal deacon who founded the city in which the church resides, Worthington, Ohio, and for whom a nearby high school (Worthington Kilbourne High School) and middle school (Kilbourne Middle School) are named. It was the first Episcopal church built west of the Allegheny Mountains, built between 1827 and 1831, with Kilbourne Hall (the parish house) constructed in 1927 and the church's Early Education Center in 1962. St. John's is among the 80 member congregations comprising the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio. In addition to the church itself, the Township Hall and graveyard behind the church were all inducted to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1980. The cemetery behind the church contains at least 317 burials from the community from between 1804 and 1882.

The Demas Adams House is a historic residence in the Columbus-area city of Worthington, Ohio, United States. Constructed for a second-generation settler, it retains an extensive degree of its original 1810s architecture, and it has been named a historic site. Demas Adams, the original resident, arranged for the construction of the house in 1818 for himself and his wife, a daughter of Worthington founder James Kilbourn. By the 1850s, it had passed out of the Adams family and was home to Methodist preacher Uriah Heath, who helped to establish the Worthington Female Seminary. For more than a century, the black walnut original weatherboarding remained in place, but new siding was installed over the original in 1952.Built in the Federal style, the Adams House remains a weatherboarded structure, placed atop a foundation of stucco. The symmetrical two-story facade is divided into five bays, with a window in each except for the door in the center of the first story. This doorway is slightly recessed from the rest of the facade, and a small pediment is placed between the doorway and the central second-story window. Less wide than the facade, and divided into just three bays, the sides rise to gables with a third-story window. Chimneys are placed near the roofline, while the roof itself is shingled. Inside, the house has experienced few changes; the ash floors, fireplaces, and additional wooden elements installed at the time of construction are still present. It is the oldest of several braced-frame houses still standing in Worthington.In 1980, the Adams House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying both because of its architecture and because of its connection to Uriah Heath. It is one of more than thirty locations listed on the Register in Worthington, along with such sites as the public square in front of the house, and the Worthington Historic District that encompasses the blocks surrounding the square.

Worthington Presbyterian Church is a historic church in Worthington, Ohio, United States. Founded in 1805, the congregation is composed of 1,900 members. The congregation worships in a Colonial Revival church building that was built in 1927. Under the name of "Worthington United Presbyterian Church," it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was designed in Late Gothic Revival style by Columbus, Ohio architects Martin, Orr and Martin, who were in practice together from 1924-1927. They also designed the Late Gothic Revival First Baptist Church of Boulder, in Boulder, Colorado, which was built in 1925-26.

The Gilbert House is a small historic residence in the city of Worthington, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the 1820s and later moved to the present location, it has been named a historic site. Ezra Gilbert and his wife were among Worthington's earlier settlers, and they lived in the community into their old age. Events on their sixtieth anniversary in 1888 prompted Mrs. Gilbert to help fund a rectory for the nearby St. John's Episcopal Church. In the 1840s, they moved into the present house, which had been built in the 1820s; originally located elsewhere, it was relocated to the present site. Its new location made it a neighbor of St. John's Episcopal Church, as well as of the Worthington School, constructed in 1874 immediately to the west; Kilbourne Middle School now occupies the site. It later become home to the families of Travis Scott and James Ventresca.The Gilberts' house is a small building without a specific architectural style. Covered with shingles, the walls rise to an asphalt roof and sit on a stone foundation. The front of the house rises to a shallow gable, while to the rear, the roof becomes less steep before pivoting 90° and becoming perpendicular to the roof of the rest of the house. The overall design creates an appearance resembling a saltbox, although modifications have been made since construction.In April 1980, the Gilbert House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its historically significant architecture, for the building is a little-modified example of worker housing from the early nineteenth century. It was one of approximately twenty Worthington locations added to the National Register together as part of a multiple property submission. The house also lies within the boundaries of the Register-listed Worthington Historic District.

Worthington is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States, and is a northern suburb of Columbus. The population in the 2020 Census was 14,786. The city was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company led by James Kilbourne, who was later elected to the United States House of Representatives, and named in honor of Thomas Worthington, who later became governor of Ohio.

Riverlea is a village in Franklin County, Ohio, United States, surrounded by Worthington on its north, south, and east sides, and bordered on the west by the Olentangy River, across which is Columbus. Riverlea was incorporated in 1939, a small community that formed on former farmland. The population was 599 at the 2020 census. In 2011, Riverlea and Worthington explored the possibility of the annexation of Riverlea to Worthington. Riverlea voters defeated the annexation.

Thomas Worthington High School (TWHS) is a public school in Worthington, Ohio. The school was named Worthington High School until 1991, when sister school, Worthington Kilbourne High School, opened. With approximately 1700 students, TWHS is the largest school in the Worthington City School District. Its mascot is the cardinal, and the school colors are red and blue. A map of the district divisions is located here.Within the Worthington City School District, Worthingway Middle School, Kilbourne Middle School, and Phoenix Middle School students who would traditionally go to Worthingway or Kilbourne feed in to TWHS.

The Light of Seven Matchsticks was a craft cocktail bar in Worthington, Ohio. The bar was designed with a speakeasy style and literary elements, especially relating to Wes Anderson films. It was located beneath Natalie's Coal-Fired Pizza and Live Music, an independent restaurant and music venue. The Light of Seven Matchsticks opened in January 2017 and closed on September 18, 2022. The bar was considered one of the best in Columbus. In 2022, Mashed listed it as the best bar in Ohio. It was regarded for its decor and atmosphere, inventive cocktails, and food menu.

Sharon Township is one of the seventeen townships of Franklin County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 15,969, of whom 1,849 lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.

Worthington Christian School is a private Christian school in Worthington, Franklin County, Ohio, United States. The school was founded in 1973, and teaches grades kindergarten through twelve. As suggested by the name, the school teaches Christian beliefs as a required part of its curriculum. According to the school, 95% of graduates go on to a subsequent four-year degree program.
