The High Commission of Namibia in London is the diplomatic mission of Namibia in the United Kingdom.In 2012 a protest was held outside the High Commission by the conservation group Earthrace against the practice of seal culling in the country.

The Quintin and Alice Hogg Memorial is a memorial for English philanthropist Quintin Hogg and his wife Alice stands on Portland Place in central London, opposite BBC Broadcasting House. The bronze memorial depicts Quintin Hogg with two boys, and stands on a plinth of Portland stone. It was designed by George Frampton and erected in 1906. The memorial also honours Hogg's wife, Alice, and those members of the Regent Street Polytechnic (now the University of Westminster) killed in World War I and World War II.The memorial has been Grade II listed since February 1970.

The Association of Anaesthetists, in full the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), is a professional association for anaesthetists in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was founded by Dr Henry Featherstone in 1932, when GPs gave most anaesthetics in the UK and Ireland as a sideline. Anaesthetists were not respected by other specialists and were poorly paid. Surgeons provided referrals and collected and paid their fees. The AAGBI's negotiations before the NHS was established in 1948 ensured anaesthetists received consultant status. It instigated the founding of the Faculty of Anaesthetists of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (now the Royal College of Anaesthetists) in 1947 and supported the foundation of the equivalent Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (now the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland in 1959. The AAGBI adopted the motto in somno securitas (safe in sleep) when it was granted the right to bear arms by King George VI in 1945. Patients and anaesthetists alike can be secure in the knowledge that the Association continues to protect their mutual interests. The AAGBI office is located in the centre of London.

Mansfield Street is a street in the Marylebone district of central London. It runs roughly north to south from New Cavendish Street to Queen Anne Street. About halfway, there are t-junctions with Duchess Street, off to the east, and Mansfield Mews, off to the west. 5-13 and 16–22 are all grade II* listed. They were designed by Robert and James Adam, and built in 1770–75.

New Cavendish Street is a street in the City of Westminster, London, that runs from Marylebone High Street in the west to Cleveland Street in the east. The street was built in 1775 and named after the Cavendish family, who were related to the ground landlords, the Dukes of Portland.

Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC, in Portland Place and Langham Place, London. The first radio broadcast from the building was made on 15 March 1932, and the building was officially opened two months later, on 15 May. The main building is in Art Deco style, with a facing of Portland stone over a steel frame. It is a Grade II* listed building and includes the BBC Radio Theatre, where music and speech programmes are recorded in front of a studio audience. As part of a major consolidation of the BBC's property portfolio in London, Broadcasting House has been extensively renovated and extended. This involved the demolition of post-war extensions on the eastern side of the building, replaced by a new wing completed in 2005. The wing was named the "John Peel Wing" in 2012, after the disc jockey. BBC London, BBC Arabic Television and BBC Persian Television are housed in the new wing, which also contains the reception area for BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra (the studios themselves are in the new extension to the main building). The main building was refurbished, and an extension built to the rear. The radio stations BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra and the BBC World Service transferred to refurbished studios within the building. The extension links the old building with the John Peel Wing, and includes a new combined newsroom for BBC News, with studios for the BBC News channel, BBC World News and other news programming. The move of news operations from BBC Television Centre was completed in March 2013.The official name of the building is Broadcasting House but the BBC now also uses the term new Broadcasting House (with a small 'n') in its publicity referring to the new extension rather than the whole building, with the original building known as old Broadcasting House.

The BBC Radio Theatre (originally named The Concert Hall) is a theatre situated within the BBC's Broadcasting House complex. It is used for live broadcast and audio recordings.

EIFA International School, formerly known as L'Ecole Internationale Franco-Anglaise, is an English-French international co-educational nursery, junior and senior independent day school, located in Marylebone, London. EIFA is a school for children aged 24 months to 18 years old, from Early childhood to Key Stage 5. Duchess Street is a street in the City of Westminster, London, that runs west to east from Mansfield Street in the west to Hallam Street in the east, and crosses Portland Place about halfway. It is named after Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland.

The IBC Recording Studios were independent recording studios located at 35 Portland Place in London, England. In the 1960s and 1970s, the studios become internationally famous after being used by recording artists like the Kinks, the Who, Bee Gees, Cream and others.

Portland Place is a street in the Marylebone district of central London. Named after the Third Duke of Portland, the unusually wide street is home to the BBC's headquarters Broadcasting House, the Chinese and Polish embassies, the Royal Institute of British Architects and numerous residential mansion blocks.

The Langham, London, is one of the largest and best known traditional-style grand hotels in London, England. It is situated in the district of Marylebone on Langham Place and faces up Portland Place towards Regent's Park.
