King Phillip's Cave is a cave in Norton, Massachusetts near Lake Winnecunnett. It may be accessed from Stone Run Drive off Plain Street near Bay Road and sits on a 7-acre (28,000 m2) parcel of land owned by the Land Preservation Society, an independent non-profit conservation organization chartered in 1970 by the State of Massachusetts.The cave is so named because Metacomet, the Wampanoag sachem also known as "King Phillip", is said to have hidden here near the end of King Philip's War before meeting his death in the Great Miery Swamp in Bristol, RI.According to materials published by The Patriot Ledger: The town forest, where King Philip's Cave is located, and Lake Winnecunnett are both popular recreation sites. The Canoe River is a river in southeastern Massachusetts. It is 14.4 miles (23.2 km) long and part of the Taunton River Watershed. The Canoe River arises from headwaters near Lake Massapoag in Sharon, and meanders generally southwards through the towns of Sharon, Foxborough, Mansfield, and Easton to empty into Winnecunnet Pond in Norton. Winnecunnet Pond is emptied by the Snake River which flows into Lake Sabbatia which was formed by damming the Mill River which joins the Taunton River and ultimately empties into Narragansett Bay. The river provides drinking water for about 50,000 people in the region who receive their water from its aquifer. It has been designated a sole source aquifer and since 1991, an Area of Critical Environmental Concern by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Furnace Village Historic District is a historic district encompassing a historic colonial industrial area in Easton, Massachusetts. It is centered on the junction of Foundry Street (Massachusetts Routes 106 and 123) with South Street and Poquanticut Avenue. The area was settled in 1723, with industrial activity beginning in 1742. An iron furnace was established here in 1751, and industrial uses continued into the 19th century. In addition to colonial-era houses, there are also 19th-century worker housing units.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
