Hallandale Beach (formerly known simply as Hallandale) is a city in southern Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is named after Luther Halland, the son of a Swedish worker for Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad. It's also part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 41,217. The city is known as the home of Gulfstream Park (horse racing and casino) and Mardi Gras Casino, a greyhound racing track which hosts the World Classic. The area surrounding those two major places created a sizable downtown financial district, with offices for a number of banks and brokerage houses, plus many restaurants.

Pegasus and Dragon is a 110-foot (34 m) tall statue of Pegasus defeating a dragon in Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida. It is the third-tallest statue in the United States after the Birth of the New World in Puerto Rico and the Statue of Liberty in New York. It is also the world's largest and tallest equine and European dragon statue. The Pegasus is poised with its front hoof on the neck of the dragon, which lies below the level of the equine. The statue complex is 200 feet (61 m) in length and 115 feet (35 m) in width. Pegasus is made of 330 tons of steel and 132 tons of bronze. The dragon is made of 110 tons of steel and 132 tons of bronze. Pegasus will feature a 5D dome theater in a rock formation underneath it. The dragon is surrounded by musical fountains. At night the statue is home to a fountain show featuring 13 musical pieces, 350 fog nozzles, 116 water nozzles, special LED lighting and the dragon breathing fire 20 feet during the show.

Shuckum's Raw Bar & Grill was a restaurant located on Young Circle in downtown Hollywood, Florida. The restaurant gained worldwide attention in 2001, when it was widely reported to have been one of the last places that the September 11 hijackers were seen prior to the attack, based on the testimony of its staff.

Hallandale High School is a public high school and magnet school located in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district and was established in 1973. It serves: Hallandale Beach, Pembroke Park, and West Park.

The Danny Thomas-Diplomat Classic was a golf tournament in south Florida on the PGA Tour that was played only once, in early December 1969. Held at Diplomat Presidential Country Club, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, it had a $125,000 purse and a winner's share of $25,000. The last event of the year, it was played opposite a satellite event, the West End Classic in The Bahamas. Six strokes back at the start of the final round, Arnold Palmer shot 65 (−7) and won by two strokes over runner-up Gay Brewer, the leader after each of the first three rounds. It was consecutive victories for the forty-year-old Palmer, who had broken a winless drought the previous week at the new Heritage Classic in southern South Carolina.Although this tournament played for only one year, Danny Thomas continued to lend his name to a PGA Tour event for the next fifteen years (1970–84), at the Danny Thomas Memphis Classic in southwest Tennessee.

The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood is an arts venue in Hollywood, Florida at 1650 Harrison Street in Broward County. The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood was founded in 1975 as the only visual arts non-profit organization in south Broward County, operating out of a small community space on Hollywood beach. The center now manages visual arts galleries in the renovated Kagey Home built in 1924, an Arts School that is adjacent to the main facility, and a 500-seat theater in Hollywood's burgeoning downtown. (US 1 and Monroe Street). Arts instruction for youth links all curricula to other core subjects, such as math, science, literacy, and cultural studies. This shows students, from pre-K to high school, how the visual and performing arts may inform all facets of learning. Programs include Summer Arts Camp, the leadership development program Arts Aspire, Free Arts! Family Days, the Distance Learning Arts Studio, Stage Kids – Encore, ARTastic Collaborations, and Early Voices. In 2016, the center received an ArtsEd Forever! award from the Broward Cultural Division for Exceptional Service & Outstanding Contributions to Arts Education in Broward County. In March 2019, the center was designated for $2.5 million in funds from the City of Hollywood towards its Arts Ignite! building initiative, as part of a General Obligation Bond referendum that was approved by Hollywood voters. These funds will be allocated toward the expansion of Center facilities over two phases, with construction scheduled to begin in 2021 on a new Arts Education building that will adjoin the Kagey Home. Through its programs and facilities, the Center fosters a creative environment where new and challenging work can flourish through exhibitions and art-making activities that reflect the highest standards of artistry and diversity.

The Hollywood Boulevard Historic Business District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on February 18, 1999) located in Hollywood, Florida. The district runs along Hollywood Boulevard, between 21st Avenue and Young Circle. It contains 34 historic buildings and two historic sites. The sites are Young Circle Park and Anniversary Park. Planning for the historic district began in 1995 at the approach of the 70th anniversary of the city.

The Miami Pop Festival was a rock festival that took place from December 28-30, 1968, at Gulfstream Park, a horse racing track in Hallandale, Florida, just north of Miami. It is sometimes confused with a separate event that took place seven months earlier, at the same venue, though the two events were unrelated. The earlier event was officially publicized on promotional materials and in radio ads as the "1968 Pop and Underground Festival," and "The 1968 Pop Festival," but later came to be referred to colloquially as the "Miami" Pop Festival, a practice which has led to confusion between the two events.

It is among the most important venues for horse racing in the United States, and is open 365 days a year. The venue is owned by The Stronach Group. Thoroughbred horse racing occurs year-round, defined by three distinct race meets and one invitational: Championship Meet (December - March) Pegasus World Cup Royal Palm Meet (April - September) Flamingo Festival Meet (October - November)

The Ben Gamla Charter School is an English-Hebrew charter school, the first of its kind in the U.S., located in Hollywood, Florida. It opened August 20, 2007, with approximately 400 enrolled students from kindergarten through eighth grade, though the Ben Gamla system has expanded to 5 campuses in South Florida in both the Ben Gamla Charter Schools, as well as the Ben Gamla Preparatory Academy. The entire Ben Gamla system currently enrolls students from grades K-12 across all 5 campuses, with a total enrollment of about 2,000 students. Of the five total schools in the Ben Gamla system, three schools are in Broward County, one is in Miami-Dade County and one is in Palm Beach County. The school's director is an Orthodox rabbi and at least 50% of the students accepted to the school are Jewish. The name of the school is taken from an Israelite high priest (Yehoshua Ben Gamla), known in the Talmud for his campaign to establish yeshivas throughout Judaea.
