Abeno Harukas

Ōsaka Abenobashi Station (大阪阿部野橋駅, Ōsaka-Abenobashi-eki, station number: F01) is a railway station on Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line in Abeno-ku, Osaka, Japan. The station is also called "Abenobashi Station" (あべの橋駅). According to the research on November 13, 2012, 159,075 passengers got on and off trains at Ōsaka Abenobashi Station. It was the largest number of passengers getting on and off trains at stations on the Kintetsu Lines. The west ticket gates of the station were shifted 35 m to the east on March 20, 2009, so that station facilities are entirely within the Kintetsu Abeno department store's "new" (east) building. The "old" (western) portion was demolished to make way for a new high-rise building.

Abeno Harukas Art Museum (あべのハルカス美術館, Abeno Harukasu Bijutsukan) opened in Abeno-ku, Ōsaka, Japan, in 2014. Specializing in temporary exhibitions, it is located on the 16th floor of Abeno Harukas, Japan's tallest building, named after the ward of Abeno and the expression harukasu (晴るかす), meaning 'brightening up'. The Museum's inaugural director is art historian Asano Shūgō (浅野秀剛), director of Kintetsu Railway Company's other cultural initiative, the Yamato Bunkakan.

Abeno Cues Town (あべのキューズタウン) is the name of the Abeno A1 Area Urban Redevelopment Project A2 Building (阿倍野A1地区第二種市街地再開発事業A2棟, Abeno A1 Chiku Dainishu Shigaichi Saikaihatsu Jigyō A2 Tō) in Abeno-ku, Osaka, Japan.

Abeno (阿倍野 or 阿部野) is an ancient name of a plain in the Settsu Province of Japan, presently in Osaka Prefecture, south of Yodo River and west of Uemachi Plateau (上町台地, Uemachi daichi). It was the scene of several battles during the Sengoku period.

Isshin-ji (一心寺) is a Pure Land Buddhist temple in Osaka, Japan. Starting in the Meiji period, thirteen images have been formed, each incorporating the ashes of tens of thousands of devotees. The annual burial ceremony on 21 April in turn draws tens of thousands of worshippers.

Tobita Shinchi (飛田新地), also known as Tobita Yūkaku (飛田遊廓), is the largest of the brothel districts in Osaka, and also the largest in western Japan. It is located in the Sanno 3-chōme area of Nishinari-ku, Osaka. Tobita Shinchi dates from the Taishō period. To circumvent the anti-prostitution laws, the brothels operate largely under the guise of being "Japanese-style restaurants" (Ryoutei).

Tennōji Zoo (天王寺動物園) is a 11-hectare (27-acre) zoo located at Tennōji Park in Tennōji-ku, Osaka, Japan, opened on January 1, 1915. It is the third zoo to be built in Japan and is located southwest of the Shitennō-ji temple, the first Buddhist temple in Japan.

The 1576 siege of Mitsuji (Japanese: 三津寺砦の戦い) was part of the eleven-year Ishiyama Hongan-ji War. The Ikkō-ikki, a group of warrior monks and peasants, controlled the fortress and stood as one of the primary obstacles to Oda Nobunaga's bid for power. In May 1576, Nobunaga personally took part in an attack on the fortress. He led a number of ashigaru (foot soldiers) in pushing back the Ikki garrison to their inner gates. Nobunaga suffered a bullet wound to his leg.He also lost one of his generals, Harada Naomasa.

Shitennō-ji (Japanese: 四天王寺, Temple of the Four Heavenly Kings) is a Buddhist temple in Ōsaka, Japan. It is also known as Arahaka-ji, Nanba-ji, or Mitsu-ji. The temple is sometimes regarded as the first Buddhist and oldest officially-administered temple in Japan, although the temple complex and buildings have been rebuilt over the centuries, with the last reconstruction taking place in 1963. Shortly after World War II, Shitennō-ji became independent of the parent Tendai sect, and formed the "Wa" sect (wa-shū, 和宗) of Buddhism.
