The Outpost Club (“OC”) is an invitation-only, national golf society in the United States. Modeled after historic golf societies in Great Britain, it does not own a course but members can play more than 50 events each year at Top 100 courses around the world. These events range in format from members only, to members and guests, to matches against other private clubs.

Emmanuel Christian School is an evangelical Christian school in Toledo, Ohio, for grades K–12. The school was founded in 1967 under the name Emmanuel Baptist Christian School by Emmanuel Baptist Church. It was renamed Emmanuel Christian School in the spring of 2006. It is an accredited member of the Association of Christian Schools International.The Emmanuel Warriors sport the colors of green and white and are members of the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. They are one of two schools in the league that do not have a football team (the other being Maumee Valley Country Day School). ProMedica Flower Hospital is 311-bed non-profit hospital in Sylvania, Ohio, United States, operated by ProMedica as a division of ProMedica Toledo Hospital.The hospital is home to the Hickman Cancer Center, an emergency department, primary stroke center, and adult inpatient psychiatry services. The emergency department has 25 beds and serves approximately 30,000 patients each year.

The R. A. Stranahan Arboretum 47 acres (190,000 m2) is located at 4131 Tantara Drive, Toledo, Ohio, about a 10-minute drive from the main campus of the University of Toledo. It contains 1,500 specimens of cultivated, mature trees from China, Serbia, Japan, and Norway, as well as North American varieties ranging from Bristlecone Pine to Buckeye. The Arboretum site includes cultivated ornamental trees, rolling lawns, natural woods, ponds, wetlands and a restored prairie, all located within the "Oak Openings" sand dune region. About one-quarter of the Arboretum is covered by forest. The older forest has not been cleared for over 150 years and has oaks as the dominant tree. Peaks of old sand dunes are visible beneath its undergrowth. The newer forest is 50 years old, with has red maple as the dominant tree. The Arboretum was donated to the University of Toledo in 1964 by the W. W. Knight family, in memory of Robert Stranahan.

Wildwood Preserve Metropark is a nature reserve and historic estate located in Sylvania Township, Ohio. Wildwood is the most-visited of the 19-park Metroparks Toledo district.Metroparks Toledo purchased the property in 1975 following a citizen-led effort to preserve the grounds of Stranleigh Estate. The Georgian colonial style house and surrounding buildings comprised the family residence of Champion spark plug magnate Robert A. Stranahan, Sr., his wife Paige, and their children, including professional golfer Frank Stranahan.Wildwood features one of the last remaining public, free-admission gardens designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman. The park also features the former Oak Grove School, a one-room schoolhouse built by the Sylvania Board of Education in 1897.

Sylvania is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 19,011 at the 2020 census. Sylvania is a suburb of Toledo, and encompassed by Sylvania Township. Its northern border is the southern border of the state of Michigan.The name "Sylvania" is borrowed from the Latin sylvan or sylva, meaning "forest land", owing to the dense forests that once made up the region, part of the Great Black Swamp.

Sylvania Township is one of the eleven townships of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. As of 2020, the total population was 50,679, making it the second most populous municipality of Lucas County, Northwest Ohio, and the 419 / 567 area codes (behind only Toledo). The township entirely encompasses the city of Sylvania. Excluding the city of Sylvania, the remainder of the township had a population of 31,668 in 2020. The township government is under direction of a 3-member Board of Trustees (elected to staggered 4-year terms), an elected Clerk and a full-time Administrator.

Lourdes University is a private Franciscan university in Sylvania, Ohio. Established in 1958, the university is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania.

Sylvania Northview High School is a public high school located in Sylvania, Ohio. It is a part of the Sylvania City School District. Northview currently has 1,348 students and 86 teachers. It is the successor to Sylvania High School (1960–1976) and became Sylvania Northview in 1976 when a second high school in the district, Sylvania Southview, opened.

Davis University is a private for-profit college in Toledo, Ohio. It was formerly known as Davis College, Davis Business College, and Toledo Business College. In July 2019, the college announced it would be moving its campus to downtown Toledo, Ohio.
