Goethe House

The Deutsches Romantik-Museum in the city centre of Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany, is a museum dedicated to the era of Romanticism. It is located next to the Goethe House and also integrates with it. Open since 14 September 2021, it houses a collection of manuscripts, letters, works of fine art, porcelain, and other items related to German Romanticism, which the Freies Deutsches Hochstift has accumulated since 1911. The new building is part of the Goethehöfe complex next to the Goethe House. It is the first museum of its kind, focusing on major achievements during the entire Romantic era, rather than only on a specific region or individual.

The Volkstheater Frankfurt – Liesel Christ was founded in 1971 in Frankfurt by Liesel Christ. In addition to dialectal plays in Frankfurterisch and classical entertainment plays, it also performed adaptations of classical dramas, contemporary plays and rediscoveries of older stage literature.

The Consulate General of Nigeria, Frankfurt is a Nigerian diplomatic mission in Germany established in 2013. It is the first and only Nigerian Consulate Office in Europe. It is located at Weissfrauenstrasse 12, D-60311, Frankfurt am Main, with jurisdiction comprising five states in the South of Germany. The consulate is currently headed by Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande who is the Consul General.

The Hauptwache (English: "Main Guardroom") is a central point of Frankfurt am Main and is one of the most famous plazas (German: An der Hauptwache) in the city. The original name Schillerplatz was superseded in the early 1900s. It lies to the west of Konstablerwache with both squares linked by the Zeil, the central shopping area of the city.

St. Catherine's Church (German: Katharinenkirche) is the largest Protestant church in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is a parish church in the old city centre near one of the most famous city squares, the Hauptwache. The church is dedicated to the martyred early Christian saint Catherine of Alexandria. The building was completed in 1681 in a Baroque style. After being heavily damaged in 1944 during allied air raids in World War II, the church was rebuilt in the 1950s in a simpler style. More detailed restorations of the exterior and interior, including original baroque paintings that survived the war, were completed between 1978 and 2005. The steeple and roof were fully restored in 2011. St. Catherine's has a long tradition as a centre of church music, starting from the days when Georg Philipp Telemann was director of the city's music. It hosts a regular concert series around the Rieger organ, installed in 1990.

Frankfurt (Main) Hauptwache station (German: Bahnhof Frankfurt (Main) Hauptwache) is a major train station in the city centre of Frankfurt, Germany. With 181,000 passengers per day, Hauptwache station is the third-busiest rapid transit station in Frankfurt after Frankfurt Central Station and Konstablerwache station and a major hub for commuter transport in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region. It is served by eight S-Bahn lines (S1–S6, S8, S9) and six U-Bahn lines (U1-U3, U6-U8) on 2 levels.

Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers AG is a private bank based in Frankfurt am Main. Hauck & Aufhäuser also maintains offices in Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, London, Luxembourg, Nanjing (China) and Shanghai (China) and focuses on the advisory and asset management of private and corporate clients as well as institutional investors and on cooperation with independent asset managers. The bank was created in 1998 from the merger of Georg Hauck & Sohn Bankiers in Frankfurt am Main and Bankhaus H. Aufhäuser in Munich. Since 2016 it has been part of the Chinese conglomerate Fosun. In March 2020 Hauck & Aufhäuser announced its intention to buy Bankhaus Lampe KG from the Oetker Group. The purchase is subject to approval by the competition authorities.

St Paul's Church (German: Paulskirche) is a former Protestant church in Frankfurt, Germany, used as a national assembly hall. Its important political symbolism dates back to 1848 when the Frankfurt Parliament convened there, the first publicly and freely-elected German legislative body.

Mainhattan is a term referring to Frankfurt's skyline, especially that of its central business district, the Bankenviertel. The word is a portmanteau of Main, the river on which Frankfurt lies, and Manhattan, a reference to the inner city area's visually impressive high rises and skyscrapers, a special feature for a European city. Together with the historically important Imperial Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew and St. Paul's Church, these buildings form the skyline of the city. The first tall buildings were built in the 1960s. Banks and other financial institutions settled there, which resulted in the district also being referred to as "Bankfurt" (Bankford). Originally, both expressions were sometimes used derisively, but the connotation has changed to a purely positive one.The seat of the European Central Bank is located in Mainhattan. The Commerzbank Tower was the tallest building in the European Union until the Shard in London was built. After the United Kingdom voted to withdraw from the European Union (Brexit), plans were made for several financial institutions to move from the City of London to Mainhattan. However, a report by the think tank New Financial found that even after Brexit, there is still around five times more international financial activity in the UK than in France and Germany, suggesting that London will remain the most important financial centre on the European continent, ahead of Paris and Frankfurt.

Commerzbank Tower is a 56-story, 259 m (850 ft) skyscraper owned by Samsung of Korea since September 2016 in the banking district of Frankfurt, Germany. An antenna spire with a signal light on top gives the tower a total height of 300.1 m (985 ft). It is the tallest building in Frankfurt and the tallest building in Germany. It had been the tallest building in Europe from its completion in 1997 until 2003 when it was surpassed by the Triumph-Palace in Moscow. Since the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union, the tower had briefly reclaimed its position as the tallest building in the European Union only to lose the title again in 2021 when Poland's Varso Tower topped out. The Commerzbank Tower is only two metres taller than the Messeturm, which is also located in Frankfurt and was the tallest building in Europe before the construction of the Commerzbank Tower. Commerzbank Tower was designed by Foster & Partners, with Arup and Krebs & Kiefer (structural engineering), J. Roger Preston with P&A Petterson Ahrens (mechanical engineering), Schad & Hölzel (electrical engineering). Construction of the building began in 1994 and took three years to complete. The building provides 121,000 m2 (1,300,000 sq ft) of office space for the Commerzbank headquarters, including winter gardens and natural lighting and air circulation. The building is lighted at night with a yellow lighting scheme that was designed by Thomas Ende who was allowed to display this sequence as a result of a competition.In its immediate neighbourhood are other skyscrapers including the Eurotower (former home of the European Central Bank), the Main Tower, the Silberturm, the Japan Center and the Gallileo. The area forms Frankfurt's central business district, commonly known as Bankenviertel.

Börsenstraße 2–4 is an 8-story low-rise neoclassical building in Frankfurt, Germany. It directly faces the Börsenstraße (Stock Exchange Street) and the Freßgass to the west, the Börsenplatz (Stock Exchange Square) and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange to the north, and the Biebergasse and the Rathenauplatz to the south. The Hauptwache is located fifty metres down the Biebergasse in the eastern direction. It thus occupies a highly central position in the Frankfurt central city district. The building was completed in 1913, and was built for the lace and tulle merchant Sigmund Strauss and designed by the architects Wilhelm Schmitt and Hermann Ritter. It is a listed cultural heritage site. The interior of the building was renovated in 1995. The building is owned by Commerzbank and its main tenants are international financial institutions, particularly the German branch of the investment bank N M Rothschild & Sons. The ground floor is occupied by a Zara store and smaller upmarket stores. Until the early 2000s, the main tenant was the German office of JPMorgan. Börsenstraße 2–4 was formerly also the seat of the Frankfurt Oberjustizkasse and of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper until 1961. It was also the seat of the Bizonal Economic Council, the first de facto West German parliament and the immediate predecessor of the Bundestag.

St. Leonhard is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. Its historic church dates to 1219, when it was erected in the centre of the town close to the river Main, as a Romanesque-style basilica. From 1425, it was remodeled to a hall church in late Gothic style. St. Leonhard was the only one of nine churches in the Old Town that survived World War II almost undamaged. Today, the parish is part of the Domgemeinde (Cathedral parish) and serves as the parish church of English-speaking Catholics. It is a monument of Frankfurt's history as well as church history and medieval crafts.
