Ashland is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Ashland is located at the intersection of Delaware Route 82 and Barley Mill Road along the Red Clay Creek.

The Samuel P. Dixon Farm is a historic farm near Ashland, New Castle County, Delaware. The property includes three contributing stone buildings: a house, a spring house and a tri-level bank barn. The house is a two-story, four-bay dwelling in two sections. The older section is dated to the late 18th or early 19th century, with an addition before 1830, about the time the barn was built.In the 20th Century, it became part of Ashland Farm, a Du Pont estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

J. Mason Farm is a historic farm located near Ashland, New Castle County, Delaware. The property includes two contributing buildings. They are a stone house (1827) and a stone and frame bank barn (c. 1827). The house is a two-story, gable-roofed, fieldstone structure with a two-story, three bay, frame wing that may have been added in the 1930s or 1940s. The barn walls are of uncoursed fieldstone finished with a pebbled stucco.In the 20th Century, it became part of Ashland Farm, a Du Pont estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Mt. Cuba Center is a non-profit botanical garden located in Hockessin, Delaware, near Wilmington, in the gently rolling hills of the Delaware Piedmont. Its woodland gardens produce some of the most spectacular displays of wildflowers in the mid-Atlantic region. Mt. Cuba is open to the public from April through November for general admission, guided tours and special programs. Education courses, including a Certificate in Ecological Gardening, are offered year-round.

Garrett Snuff Mill, also known as the George W. Helme Company, is a historic snuff tobacco mill complex located at Yorklyn, New Castle County, Delaware. The complex includes 14 contributing buildings built between 1846 and 1901. The buildings are architecturally unified as most are built of brick, with the two earliest mills constructed of stone. The Garrett family introduced the manufacture of snuff to Delaware. The complex housed a snuff manufacturing operation until 1954.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The buildings were later incorporated into the Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District.

Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District is a national historic district located at Yorklyn, New Castle County, Delaware. The district encompasses 31 contributing buildings, including the 14 buildings previously listed in the Garrett Snuff Mill. The 17 additional buildings are 19th century domestic buildings associated with the mills. They include the mill owner's and supervisor's houses, a late Victorian frame house, and four rows of workers' housing.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Mount Cuba Historic District is a national historic district at Mount Cuba, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses twelve contributing buildings, one contributing site, and four contributing structures on seven properties that lie along County Road 261. Notable buildings include the Speakman's grist mill, saw mill, and adjoining stone house; and a number of frame dwellings in a variety of popular mid to late 19th-century architectural styles including Gothic Revival. The contributing site is the Mt. Cuba picnic grounds.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Yorklyn is an unincorporated community in northern New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It lies along Delaware Route 82 northwest of the city of Wilmington, the county seat of New Castle County. Its elevation is 174 feet (53 m). It has a post office with the ZIP code 19736.Yorklyn is home to Auburn Valley State Park which includes the Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve and Marshall Steam Museum with the largest operating collection of Stanley Steamer cars in the world. Also nearby is Ashland Nature Center and the Center for the Creative Arts along with the Yorklyn Recreation Center, commonly referred to as the Yorklyn pool, which houses two pools, tennis courts, and basketball courts. The Auburn Mills Historic District, Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District, Graves Mill Historic District, and Garrett Snuff Mill are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The National Vulcanized Fiber company was headquartered in Yorklyn, however since bankruptcy in 2008 the plant has been largely torn down and the land purchased by the State of Delaware for Auburn Heights Preserve, a Delaware State Park. Plans call for restoring the original Marshall Brothers Mill into a museum and using some of the original NVF buildings for other uses.

The A. Armstrong Farm was a historic farm located at Hockessin, New Castle County, Delaware. The property included two contributing buildings. They were a log house with a stone addition added in the 1830s, and a frame tri-level stone and frame barn (c. 1830s). The stuccoed log section was three bays wide, and it had a two-story, two bay stone wing. The farm house and barn were demolished before 2002. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Wilmington Christian School (WCS) is a private, non-denominational college preparatory Christian school. Cloud-Reese House is a historic home located near Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. The original was built about 1770, and forms the rear wing. The main section dates to about 1820, and is a three-bay, two-story, stuccoed stone dwelling. In 1929, the house was renovated in the Colonial Revival style. This included the addition of a wing was added with a kitchen, pantry, laundry, three-car garage, and servants' quarters. Also on the property is a contributing low stone wall.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
