Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District is a national historic district located at Yorklyn, New Castle County, Delaware. The district encompasses 31 contributing buildings, including the 14 buildings previously listed in the Garrett Snuff Mill. The 17 additional buildings are 19th century domestic buildings associated with the mills. They include the mill owner's and supervisor's houses, a late Victorian frame house, and four rows of workers' housing.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

It encompasses 7 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures that are associated with Graves Mill. They include the Samuel Graves Mill, the Hayes Graves House and barn, the David Graves House and barn, and two houses associated with William Armstrong.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Garrett Snuff Mill, also known as the George W. Helme Company, is a historic snuff tobacco mill complex located at Yorklyn, New Castle County, Delaware. The complex includes 14 contributing buildings built between 1846 and 1901. The buildings are architecturally unified as most are built of brick, with the two earliest mills constructed of stone. The Garrett family introduced the manufacture of snuff to Delaware. The complex housed a snuff manufacturing operation until 1954.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The buildings were later incorporated into the Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District.

It lies along Delaware Route 82 northwest of the city of Wilmington, the county seat of New Castle County. Its elevation is 174 feet (53 m). It has a post office with the ZIP code 19736.Yorklyn is home to Auburn Valley State Park which includes the Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve and Marshall Steam Museum with the largest operating collection of Stanley Steamer cars in the world. Also nearby is Ashland Nature Center and the Center for the Creative Arts along with the Yorklyn Recreation Center, commonly referred to as the Yorklyn pool, which houses two pools, tennis courts, and basketball courts. The Auburn Mills Historic District, Garrett Snuff Mills Historic District, Graves Mill Historic District, and Garrett Snuff Mill are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The National Vulcanized Fiber company was headquartered in Yorklyn, however since bankruptcy in 2008 the plant has been largely torn down and the land purchased by the State of Delaware for Auburn Heights Preserve, a Delaware State Park. Plans call for restoring the original Marshall Brothers Mill into a museum and using some of the original NVF buildings for other uses.

J. Mason Farm is a historic farm located near Ashland, New Castle County, Delaware. The property includes two contributing buildings. They are a stone house (1827) and a stone and frame bank barn (c. 1827). The house is a two-story, gable-roofed, fieldstone structure with a two-story, three bay, frame wing that may have been added in the 1930s or 1940s. The barn walls are of uncoursed fieldstone finished with a pebbled stucco.In the 20th Century, it became part of Ashland Farm, a Du Pont estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Auburn Valley State Park (formerly Auburn Heights Preserve) is a state park, located in Yorklyn, Delaware, United States. The park, which is around 360 acres, preserves the former home and estate of the Marshall family as well as portions of the family's former mills alongside the Red Clay Creek and additional land purchased by the state. The preserve contains several miles of trails open to walking, biking, and antique cars, and the state owns conservation easements on 160 acres of privately owned land adjacent to the park to help maintain the park's rural character.The park also features what the state bills as the largest collection of operational steam cars in the world, and a miniature coal-powered train that runs on tracks encircling the estate. The mansion, mills, and steam museum were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the Auburn Mills Historic District.

The Samuel P. Dixon Farm is a historic farm near Ashland, New Castle County, Delaware. The property includes three contributing stone buildings: a house, a spring house and a tri-level bank barn. The house is a two-story, four-bay dwelling in two sections. The older section is dated to the late 18th or early 19th century, with an addition before 1830, about the time the barn was built.In the 20th Century, it became part of Ashland Farm, a Du Pont estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Harlan Log House, also known as "The Log House," was built about 1715 by Joshua Harlan, is a well-preserved example of an English-style log cabin near Kennett Square, in Kennett Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is about a half mile west of the hamlet of Fairville. Joshua Harlan was the son of George Harlan, who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1687. Joshua was born in 1696 and was the cousin of the George Harlan, who built the Harlan House, about 12 miles north about 1724. Both houses are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The core of the house was built about 1715 as a two-story square (26 feet by 26 feet) cabin. Although English settlers modelled their log cabins on the examples of Swedish settlers, the English versions were square rather than rectangular. An 1815 stone addition measures 19 feet by 15 feet, with a modern addition attached to the stone addition.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

It encompasses 9 contributing buildings, 4 contributing sites, and 1 contributing structure that were mostly between 1890 and 1910 and related to the Auburn Mill. The district contains industrial, commercial, and domestic structures. They include the Horatio Gates Garrett House, Israel Marshall House (1897), The "Bank" worker's row house, Auburn Store/NVP Office, Frame Workers' Housing Site, Insulite Mill (1900), Blacksmith's Shop Site, Auburn Mill, Utility Shed, and Trolley Line Trestle Piers.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
