Ireby Old Church

High Ireby is a hamlet in the civil parish of Ireby and Uldale, in the Cumberland district, in the ceremonial county of Cumbria, England. It is 15 miles from Carlisle.

Far Cotton and Delapre is a civil parish in the West Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. It comprises the two villages of Far Cotton and Delapre. In 2021 the parish had a population of 12,209.

It is located above the River Ellen, just outside the Lake District National Park, in the area locally called Back o'Skiddaw, with views to the Caldbeck Fells. The nearest towns are Wigton, 7 miles (11 km) away, and Cockermouth and Keswick, both 12 miles (19 km) away. It was granted a market charter in 1237.

Binsey is a hill on the northern edge of the Lake District in Cumbria, England. It is detached from the rest of the Lakeland hills, and thus provides a good spot to look out at the Northern and North Western Fells of the Lake District, as well as the coastal plain and, across the Solway Firth, Scotland. Snaefell on the Isle of Man is also visible on a clear day. It is the northernmost of the Wainwrights.

Mealsgate railway station was in the former county of Cumberland, now Cumbria, England. It was a stop on the Bolton Loop (sometimes referred to as the "Mealsgate Loop") of the Maryport and Carlisle Railway. The station served the village of the same name.

Fletchertown is a small village in the Allerdale borough of Cumbria, England. It was historically within Cumberland. The village was originally built to house workers in a nearby coal mine, since abandoned. The site of the mine and its spoil heaps remain. The heaps are known locally as the 'pit bank' area. Fletchertown is also the home of a number of industrial units. The school closed in 1984 and now serves as a local community centre.

Uldale is a small village and former civil parish in the Cumberland district, in the ceremonial county of Cumbria, England. It is about 5 miles (8 km) from Caldbeck, 2 miles (3 km) from Ireby with which it now forms the civil parish of Ireby and Uldale together with Aughertree. The Uldale Fells are in the vicinity, and to the southeast are Chapelhouse Reservoir and Over Water. It is located just inside the Lake District National Park. In 1931 the parish had a population of 217. Uldale has a place in literature as the occasional home of Judith Paris, a heroine of the Herries Chronicles, the saga of a Cumbrian family written by Hugh Walpole in the 1930s.

Allhallows Colliery railway station was in the former county of Cumberland, now Cumbria, England. It was a stop on the Bolton Loop (sometimes referred to as the "Mealsgate Loop") of the Maryport and Carlisle Railway. The station - almost certainly an unstaffed halt - was provided for miners at the colliery of the same name. No timetabled service ever called, nor is it certain what form the platform took, many such up and down the country were primitive in the extreme; in some cases users had to climb down from covered wagons or ancient coaches onto the trackside.

Bewaldeth and Snittlegarth is a civil parish in Cumbria, England, historically part of Cumberland. It lies north of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the Lake District and near its northern edge. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 40 who live in 1,534 acres (621 ha). At the 2011 Census it was measured that the population was still less than 100. According to Bulmer's History & Directory Of Cumberland (1901); "Snittlegarth ... is supposed to have been formerly a village of considerable magnitude. The word "Snittlegarth" is thought to signify an enclosure".
