Bøkeskogen ("The Beech Tree Forest") stretches inwards along Farris Lake in Larvik. It is an archeological area which is home to between 83, 90, and 100 burial mounds. It contains Vestfold County's largest burial grounds from the Pre-Roman Iron Age. Besides being Vestfold's largest grave site, Bøkeskogen is considered one of Norway's most accessible remains from the Viking Age. It is the world's northernmost beech tree forest.Bøkeskogen is 0.3 km2 (74 acres). It is home to miles of hiking trails. Bøkeskogen is home to one of Norway's largest burial mounds from the Iron Age. The highest point is known as “The Bellevue”, which offers panoramic views of the Farris Lake.It was Norway's first public area, given in 1884 by manor house owner Treschow-Fritzøe to the residents of Larvik. The area was protected by the Norwegian Nature Diversity Act in 1980.

It had jurisdiction over Larvik Municipality. Cases from this court could be appealed to Agder Court of Appeal. The court was a court of first instance. Its judicial duties were mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy. The administration and registration tasks of the court included death registration, issuing certain certificates, performing duties of a notary public, and officiating civil wedding ceremonies. Cases from this court were heard by a combination of professional judges and lay judges.

is a town/city in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of the large municipality which stretches inland for over 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the coast. The town is located near the Skaggerak coast, wedged between the Larviksfjorden to the south, the lake Farris to the north, and the river Lågen along the east side of the town. The town was established in 1671. The town became a self-governing municipality on 1 January 1838 under the formannskapsdistrikt law. The town remained self-governing until 1 January 1988 when it was merged with the neighboring town of Stavern and three neighboring rural municipalities to form a much larger Larvik Municipality.The 15-square-kilometre (3,700-acre) town has a population (2022) of 26,821 and a population density of 1,791 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,640/sq mi). This means over half of the population of Larvik Municipality lives in the city, the rest live in the much more rural areas of the municipality. The town originally was built in the Tollerodden area where the Larvik Church is located.The town is one of the largest ports in Vestfold. It has car ferry connections across the Skaggerak to Hirtshals in Denmark. The Vestfoldbanen railway line runs through the town, stopping at Larvik Station. The European route E18 highway passes through the north side of the town, connecting the capital of Oslo with Southern Norway.

Larvik Station (Norwegian: Larvik stasjon) is a railway station at Larvik in Vestfold, Norway. The station is served with regional trains operated by Vy. The station operated as part of the Vestfold Line (Vestfoldbanen). The station building was designed by Balthazar Lange and was opened on 13 October 1881.

Tollerodden, spelt Tolderodden until 1917, is a peninsula located in the bottom of the Larvik fjord and a part of Larvik town located on the southeast coast of Norway. The Larvik fjord is open in the southeast, so Tollerodden was the safest place in Larvik harbour, and thus the town started at Tollerodden and the nearby surroundings. As Larvik grew, the commercial harbour was moved further out the fjord, and Tollerodden is preserved near to as it was in the town's early years. Tollerodden has become world known by the naval architect Colin Archer who was born here and had his boatyard here. He became world famous for his seaworthy pilot and rescue boats and the polar ship FRAM.

Larvik Church (Norwegian: Larvik kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the town of Larvik, right along the shore of the Larviksfjorden. It is one of the churches for the Larvik parish amd the seat of the Larvik prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The yellow, brick church was built in a long church design in 1677 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 450 people.

Farriseidet is a moraine located in the northwestern part of the town center of Larvik, Norway. It separates Larvikfjorden from the lake of Farris.

The Farrisbrua (Farris Bridge) is a major road bridge crossing the Farris lake just north of Larvik, Norway. The bridge is part of the expansion of the E18 motorway from the antiquated single carriageway to modern dual carriageway standards, enabling increased speeds and traffic volumes between the eastern and southern parts of the country. It was built between 2013 and 2018, to a cost of 718 million NOK (excl. VAT).

Norsk Soyamelfabrikk ('Norwegian Soy Flour Factory') was a soy flour manufacturing company in Larvik, Norway. It was the first soy flour plant in Norway. The factory was in operation between 1933 and 1977. It was locally nicknamed 'Soyaen' ("The Soy").

Langestrand Church (Norwegian: Langestrand kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located on the western edge of the town of Larvik. It is one of the churches for the Larvik parish which is part of the Larvik prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The white, wooden church was built in a octagonal design in 1818 using plans drawn up by the architect Hans Christian Lind. The church seats about 180 people.

Larvik (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈlɑ̂rviːk] (listen)) is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Larvik. Jotron Arena Larvik is an indoor arena in Larvik, Norway. It was opened in September 2009. The arena will be primarily used for handball, but the hall has additional permanent floor marks for basketball, volleyball and floorball.Starting in September 2009, Arena Larvik will be the home court of Larvik HK. It is also one of the Norwegian venues selected to host the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship.The former name was Boligmappa Arena Larvik.
