Washington station (New Jersey)

First Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as United Methodist Church, is a historic church at 116 East Washington Avenue in Washington, Warren County, New Jersey. It was built from 1895 to 1898 with a Richardsonian Romanesque architectural style. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in architecture on July 17, 2017. The parsonage, built 1892, is also included in the listing.

Vacchiano Farm is a winery in the Port Colden section of Washington Township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. A family produce and livestock farm since 1983, the vineyard was first planted in 2004, and began to sell its wine in 2009. Vacchiano has 11 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 2,500 cases of wine per year.

Port Colden is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Washington Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 122.The community was named for its location on the Morris Canal and after Cadwallader D. Colden, president of the Morris Canal Company.

Warren Hills Regional High School is a four-year public high school located on Jackson Valley Road in Washington Township in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Warren Hills Regional School District. The school offers a comprehensive education for students in ninth through twelfth grades. The student population includes students from Franklin Township, Mansfield Township, Oxford Township, Washington Borough and Washington Township. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2014.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,126 students and 97.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1. There were 83 students (7.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Changewater is an unincorporated community located within Washington Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.Changewater is located on the Musconetcong River 2.3 miles (3.7 km) southeast of Washington. The community was named for its location at the confluence of the upper and lower branches of the river.Changewater has a post office with ZIP code 07831, which opened on September 26, 1859.

The district includes students from the municipalities of Franklin Township, Mansfield Township, Washington Borough and Washington Township, while students from Oxford Township attend the district's high school for grades 9-12 as part of a sending/receiving relationship.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 1,745 students and 156.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. Bowerstown is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey near the Morris Canal and the Pohatcong Creek. It was founded in 1829 by Jesse Vanetta and Michael B. Bowers with the building of an iron foundry. The Bowerstown Historic District, encompassing the village, was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1996.

The Warren Hills AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Warren County, New Jersey. The Warren Hills region includes several small valleys formed by tributaries of the Delaware River. The valleys drain from northeast to southwest, and most vineyards in the area are planted on southeast-facing hill slopes. The region is primarily planted with French hybrid grapes. It has a hot-summer humid continental climate (Dfa) and is located in hardiness zones 6b and 7a.

The Pohatcong Valley Groundwater Contamination superfund site is located in Warren County, Franklin Township, Washington Township, and Washington Borough in New Jersey. It was recognized in the 1970s but not designated into the National Priorities List until 1989. It is a contamination of the Kittany Limestone Aquifer underlying the Pohatcong Valley. This toxic site stretches across 9,800 acres of land. The chemicals that are polluting the groundwater and soil are trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE). If someone were to be exposed to these harmful toxins for a short amount of time it can result in unconsciousness. Long term effects unfortunately include liver and kidney problems. The plans to clean up this superfund site are costing the companies involved, Pechiney Public Packaging Inc., Bristol Meyers Squibb Company, Albea Americas Inc, and Citigroup Inc, about $92 million, and the situation still has not been completely resolved.
