Oldcotes is a village in Nottinghamshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Styrrup with Oldcotes (where the population is shown). The village is centred on the crossroads of the A60 and A634 roads, five miles south east of Maltby. The history of the village is long and varied. The earliest proof of occupation was the Roman Villa located under the church.The main focus of the village centres on the Village Hall on Maltby Road, with a history society, bingo, bowls and dancing clubs. There is one public house in the village called the King William. Hermeston Hall is located just to the south of the village.

Langold Lakes Country Park is situated on the south-western edge of the village.

The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 685. It is near the small town of Harworth. The village is surrounded by farmland and is approximately 1 mile from the A1 road intersection at Blyth. The housing consists primarily of modern properties constructed in the 1970s and numerous barn conversions arranged off the Main Street. The local pub, The White Swan, has been demolished and replaced by modern housing.

At the 2011 Census the population had fallen to less than 100. Population details are now included in the civil parish of Gildingwells. The first reference to Letwell was in the 12th century when it was part of the lands of Tickhill Castle. Listed buildings include St Peter's church with its 15th-century tower, an octagonal red-brick 18th century dovecote, and another late 18th century dovecote. A number of Georgian buildings in Letwell are also listed, including farm cottages, the rectory, and the village hall.The village of Firbeck lies to the north of Letwell, while Gildingwells lies to the south.

Tickhill Friary was an Augustinian friary in Tickhill, South Yorkshire, England. John Clarel, a canon of Southwell, founded it about 1260. It was dissolved in 1530. The remains are a Grade II* listed monument. The 14th century buildings were converted into dwellings in the 17th century, extensions followed in the 19th century. Until 1538, the Fitzwilliam tomb was located in the friary church, but was then moved into the parish church.
