Marquette-lez-Lille (French pronunciation: ​[maʁkɛt le lil], literally Marquette near Lille; Dutch: Market(t)e) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. It is part of the Métropole Européenne de Lille.

Marcq-en-Baroeul Airport is a civil airport, located in the localities of Marcq-en-Barœul and Bondues, 6.1 kilometres (3.8 mi) north-northeast of Lille, French Flanders, France.

The Marque (French pronunciation: ​[maʁk]; Dutch: Marke) is a 40-kilometre (25 mi) long river in France. It is a right tributary of the Deûle. Its source is near the village of Mons-en-Pévèle. Its course crosses the Nord department, notably the eastern part of the agglomeration of Lille. It flows northwards through the towns of Pont-à-Marcq, Tressin, Villeneuve d'Ascq, Croix and Marcq-en-Barœul, finally flowing into the Deûle in Marquette-lez-Lille. Its lowermost section, between Wasquehal and Marquette-lez-Lille, is part of the Canal de Roubaix.

The Decauville factory in Marquette-lez-Lille produced locomotives and construction machinerys from 1923 to 1968.

The Grands Moulins de Paris ("Great Mills of Paris") is a disused flour mill located in Marquette-lez-Lille in the Nord department, France. It has been an official Historical Monument since 2001.

Wambrechies (French pronunciation: ​[wɑ̃bʁəʃi]; West Flemish: Wemmersijs; Picard: Vamberchi) is a commune in the Nord department, in the region Hauts-de-France, in northern France. It is part of the European Metropolis of Lille. It has a population of around 10,600 (2019).

Marcq-en-Barœul (French pronunciation: ​[maʁk ɑ̃ baʁœl]; Picard: Marke-in-Bareul; older Dutch: Marke) is a commune in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region in northern France.It is a suburb of the city of Lille, and is immediately adjacent to it on the northeast. It is the sixth-largest component of the Métropole Européenne de Lille. Marcq-en-Barœul is known as the most affluent suburb city of Lille, it is part of the 'Triangle d'or' (Golden triangle) of Lille. It features expensive real estate, especially alongside the Grand Boulevard and Hippodrome des Flandres racecourse. The city is also home to one of the campuses of the elite international private collège and lycée active bilingue Jeannine-Manuel.

Bondues (French pronunciation: ​[bɔ̃dy]; Dutch: Bonduwe) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Since 1997, Bondues has housed a Museum devoted to the Resistance of the Nord-Pas de Calais region. The Fort of Bondues, also known as Fort Lobau, was built near the confluence of the Marque and Deûle rivers, by General Séré de Rivières, from 1877 to 1880. It is an element of the chain of forts and fortifications constituting the defence system around Lille. It was the place of execution of 68 members of the resistance in 1943/4.
