Stade Grimonprez-Jooris was a multi-purpose stadium in Lille, France, built in 1974. It was used mainly for football matches as it was home to the Lille OSC football club from 1975 until 2004, when the stadium was closed. The club originally planned to have Grimonprez-Jooris redeveloped into a 33,000-seat stadium, but this proposal was rejected, and the Grand Stade Lille Métropole was constructed instead. The stadium was officially opened on 28 October 1975, when Lille played a friendly against Dutch side Feyenoord (which ended in a 1–1 draw) and the last match at the stadium was played on 15 May 2004, Lille's last home game in the 2003–04 Ligue 1 season against SC Bastia. Lille won the game 2–0 with Matt Moussilou scoring the last goal in the history of Grimonprez-Jooris.

The Grands Moulins de Paris ("Great Mills of Paris") is a disused flour mill located in Marquette-lez-Lille in the Nord department, France. It has been an official Historical Monument since 2001.

The Decauville factory in Marquette-lez-Lille produced locomotives and construction machinerys from 1923 to 1968.

The Citadel of Lille (French: Citadelle de Lille; Dutch: Citadel van Rijsel) is a pentagonal citadel of the city wall of Lille, in France. It was built between 1667 and 1670. It hosts the Corps de réaction rapide France.Dubbed "Queen of the citadels" (Reine des citadelles) by Vauban, it is one of the most notable citadels designed by Vauban. It is remarkable for its size, the quality of the architecture, and the state of preservation today. Its various components have been classified as historic monuments in 1914, 1921 and 1934 respectively.

The Birthplace of Charles de Gaulle (French: Maison natale de Charles de Gaulle) is a French museum located in Lille, in the Hauts-de-France, France. Previously, the museum was the home of Charles de Gaulle's maternal grandparents, where he was born in 1890.Property of the Charles-de-Gaulle Foundation, the house is currently managed by the Departmental Council of Nord. Opened to the public in 1983, it has been classified as a monument historique since 1989 and obtained the Maisons des Illustres label in 2011. Located at 9 rue Princesse, in the Old Lille district, the museum welcomes between 19,000 and 20,000 visitors each year.

The Marque (French pronunciation: ​[maʁk]; Dutch: Marke) is a 40-kilometre (25 mi) long river in France. It is a right tributary of the Deûle. Its source is near the village of Mons-en-Pévèle. Its course crosses the Nord department, notably the eastern part of the agglomeration of Lille. It flows northwards through the towns of Pont-à-Marcq, Tressin, Villeneuve d'Ascq, Croix and Marcq-en-Barœul, finally flowing into the Deûle in Marquette-lez-Lille. Its lowermost section, between Wasquehal and Marquette-lez-Lille, is part of the Canal de Roubaix.

IAE de Lille, also known as Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Lille is the business school of the University of Lille. It is also a component of the "Réseau des IAE", bringing together 33 similar business schools around France. Being one of the top French universities in management, school is highly internationalized and has an alumni network of 18,000 former students throughout the world. Lambersart (French pronunciation: ​[lɑ̃bɛʁsaʁ]) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France.This commune is located in the Métropole Européenne de Lille, and is a suburb of the city of Lille, bordering it on its northwest side. Inhabitants of the town are called Lambersartois.

Stade Henri-Jooris was a sports stadium in Lille, France. The stadium, used mostly for football matches was able to hold 15,000 people and was home stadium of Olympique Lillois and Lille OSC. Originally it was known as Stade de l'avenue de Dunkerque; from 1907 to 1943, the stadium's name was the Stade Victor Boucquey. That year it was renamed after the former president of Olympique Lillois Henri-Jooris (who died four years before). The stadium suffered a roof collapse during the Lens-Lille derby in February 1946. 53 spectators were injured as the structure partially collapsed during a 19th minute counterattack. The game was only delayed 20 minutes.During the 1938 World Cup, it hosted one game.

The Conservatoire de Lille is a music school in Lille, France. Founded in 1803, it was originally set out as a music conservatory, later branching out into theatre and dance in the second half of the 20th century.The conservatory took the place of the Abbey St Pierre, sold and destroyed after the French Revolution. Construction of the building was completed in 1808. The large auditorium (Oval Room) was redesigned in 1897 by Émile Vandenbergh. The renovated parts of the building were completed on 27 February 1988, the organist Philippe Lefebvre then being director.Pupils at the academy are aged between 5 and 12 years, and are not exclusively from the city of Lille itself. As of 2014, it had around 2,000 students and 140 staff.It has a 400-seat auditorium and a library with over 40,000 works in a variety of media. Regular concerts and performances are held there, starring both alumni and third parties. Former students include the actor Hugo Becker and composer Marcelle Villin.The building has been referred to repeatedly in the publication La Symphonie Dans La Cité: Lille Au XIXe Siècle by Guy Gosselin.
