Aberdeen Grammar School

Rosemount is an area of Aberdeen, Scotland. When referring to Rosemount, the area is generally taken to include Rosemount Place and the surrounding streets. It is situated to the north west of the city centre and is bounded by Berryden, Midstocket and Queens Cross. The area is largely Victorian with grey granite tenement blocks representative of the period. At the west end of Rosemount larger houses exist on streets such as Belvidere Crescent. Victoria Park can be found in the north of the area. Rosemount Place itself is a very busy street for both cars and pedestrian and has small shops lining almost the entire street. It maintains a lot of traditional premises such as butchers, fishmongers, cheese shops and bakers. This area is one of the few still in existence in Aberdeen where many independent stores can be found. Due to this fact, it remains popular and many businesses are prosperous, with empty units rare.

St Margaret’s School for Girls is the oldest all-through girls’ school in Scotland and caters for pupils aged three to 18 in a nursery, junior school and senior school. St Margaret’s is an independent charitable trust that warmly welcomes girls of all denominations and faiths. St Margaret's is a member of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS), Girls' Schools Association and Queen Margaret of Scotland Girls' Schools Association.

Harlaw Academy is a six-year comprehensive secondary school situated 200 yards from the junction of Union Street and Holburn Street in the centre of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is directly adjacent to St Margaret's School for Girls. The academy draws most of its pupils from its associated primary schools, namely, Broomhill Primary School, Ferryhill Primary School, Kaimhill Primary School and Hanover Street School. Ross McLaren has been headteacher since February 2020.

The Battle of Aberdeen was fought on 14 May 1646 during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. George, Marquis of Huntly the commander of a Royalist army, defeated a force of Covenanters under the command of Hugh, Lord Montgomerie.

The traditional industries of fishing, paper-making, shipbuilding, and textiles have been overtaken by the oil industry and Aberdeen's seaport. Aberdeen Heliport is one of the busiest commercial heliports in the world, and the seaport is the largest in the north-east part of Scotland. In 2012, HSBC named Aberdeen as a leading business hub and one of eight 'super cities' spearheading the UK's economy, marking it as the only city in Scotland so designated. In 2018, Aberdeen was found to be the best city in the UK to start a business in a study released by card payment firm Paymentsense.

Bon Accord Free Church is a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland in Aberdeen.

Bon Accord Baths is an indoor swimming pool in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is not currently operational, but is being managed by Bon Accord Heritage, a registered charity working to restore and reopen the facility under community ownership.

Gilcomston Church is an independent evangelical congregation, which meets in the church buildings on Union Street, Aberdeen. The congregation was formerly part of the Church of Scotland and known as Gilcomston South Church.

Albyn Hospital is a private hospital in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is situated on Albyn Place, and is managed by BMI Healthcare.

The Ashvale is a chain of fish and chip restaurants and takeaways in the north-east of Scotland. The main restaurant, which opened in 1979, is on Great Western Road in Aberdeen. There are other restaurants and takeaways in Banchory, Portlethen, Brechin, Dundee, Elgin, Ellon and Inverurie. By the mid-1990s the restaurant complex in Aberdeen had 300 seats and was open 7 days a week. In 2004, the chain served about 30,000 customers each week, selling approximately 18,000 fillets of fish.Its successful strategy is to buy fish of the best quality but to sell it at the same price as the competition. Its margins are therefore lower but it makes up for this with high volume, staying open from noon to 1 am, seven days a week, and being fairly busy throughout.

Royal Cornhill Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Westburn Road, Aberdeen, Scotland. It is managed by NHS Grampian.

The Crabstane (alt. Crabs Stone, Craibstone, Craib Stone, Craibstane or Crabe Stone) is a boundary stone that used to mark out part of Craibstone Croft which was located near Hardgate, Aberdeen.The stone has a plaque above it with the inscription as follows: The Crabstane. Boundary stone on lands belonging to John Crab, Baillie of the Burgh in 1314. The stone also marks the site of the skirmish in 1571 between the rival families of Gordon and Forbes and of an engagement in 1644 between the citizens of Aberdeen and the Royalist forces of the Marquis of Montrose. The skirmish refers to the Battle of Craibstone on 20 November 1571.
