St. Mary of Ostrabrama is a historic Polish Roman Catholic church at the junction of Jackson Street and Whitehead Avenue in South River, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1904 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 10, 2003.

It used to loop inefficiently to its confluence with the Raritan River, so a shortcut called Washington Canal was created.The river lends its name to the borough of South River.

The Washington Canal, in Sayreville, New Jersey, is a waterway connecting the South River with the Raritan River, bypassing several loops at the mouth of the former. It was chartered in 1823 to reduce the distance and hence travel time along the South River from South River, New Jersey (then known as Washington) to the Raritan River, and built about 1824–1825.During Hurricane Sandy, the area around the Washington Canal suffered surges up to 14 feet above flood stage. Nearly all homes became uninhabitable, and more than 30 lost their foundations.

The St. Euphrosynia Belarusian Orthodox Church is a Belarusian Greek Orthodox church in South River, New Jersey. The archdiocese is the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the United States. The head of the church is Rev. Fr. Konstanin Gavrilkin. It is named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk.

Orchard Heights is an unincorporated community located within East Brunswick Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The area is part of a suburban residential neighborhood between Milltown and Dunhams Corner Roads (County Route 535) interchange with New Jersey Route 18. It is owned and managed by Washington Prime Group and has gross leasable area (GLA) of 769,041 sq ft (71,446.2 m2). The current anchor stores are JCPenney and Macy's.

The Starland Ballroom is a concert venue located in Sayreville, New Jersey. Beginning in the 1960s, the building was known as the Jernee Mill Inn, a local bar with a banquet hall. It was originally known as the Hunka Bunka Ballroom and then Willy's in the 1980s. It has operated as a dance music club but more often hosted concerts with primarily metal, punk and ska lineups.
