Mattituck is a station on the Main Line (Greenport Branch) of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Love Lane and Pike Street, north of New York State Route 25 in Mattituck, New York.

Laurel is a census-designated place (CDP) roughly corresponding to the hamlet of Laurel in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is located mostly within the Town of Southold, with a small portion in the Town of Riverhead. The population was 1,394 at the 2010 census.

Hallock Homestead is a historic farm complex located at Northville in Suffolk County, New York. The farmstead includes five contributing buildings: the main house, barn, milk house, shop / wood house, and privy. The farmhouse was originally built in 1765 as a one-story, five bay structure with a central chimney. In 1833, a small room was added to the west side and in 1845, the original dwelling was raised to two stories and capped with a broad gable roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Andrew Gildersleeve Octagonal Building, also known as Mattituck, the Octagon House and Mattituck Octagon House, is an historic octagon house located at Main Road (NY 25) and Love Lane in Mattituck, New York. It was built in 1854 by Andrew Gildersleeve, a master carpenter, who used it for his family home as well as for a store. On August 19, 1976, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Jesse and Ira Tuthill House is a historic home located at Mattituck in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in two stages, 1799 and 1841. The original two-room house was incorporated as a 1+1⁄2-story wing for the larger 2-story, nine-room house. The final 1841 house is a 2+1⁄2-story residence with a modestly pitched gable roof with a wide frieze running beneath the roof eave. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The Mattituck-Laurel Historical Society owns the 1799 Jesse Tuthill House and 1841 Ira Tuthill House and operates them as period historic house museums.

Hallock-Bilunas Farmstead is a historic farm complex located at Jamesport in Suffolk County, New York. The farmstead includes seven contributing buildings: the farmhouse, barns, sheds, workshops, and other accessory structures. The farmhouse was built in 1880, and is a two-story gable-roofed residence clad in wood shingles and wrapped by an open porch on the south and east elevations.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Mattituck Airport (FAA LID: 21N) is a public use airport located one nautical mile (2 km) southeast of the central business district of Mattituck, a hamlet in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is privately owned by Mattituck Airport, LLC.

The defense of the cutter Eagle was a battle on and around Long Island New York, that took place from October 10 to 13, 1814, between the British Royal Navy and the United States' Revenue Marine. Early on in the engagement, the United States' only involved vessel, USRC Eagle, was beached near Negro Head. Despite the loss of their ship, her crew continued fighting the Royal Navy vessels from shore using cannon recovered from their wrecked vessel. Eagle's crew was ultimately able to repair and refloat her, but unsuccessful in their attempts to drive the British ships away. Once more she was beached, but after exhausting their ammunition over three days of fighting, the Eagle's crew was unable to prevent her from being towed off by the Royal Navy, which then sailed her back past the shoreline for a victory lap. Though there were no fatalities on either side in the battle, a cow grazing in the area died after being hit by a 32-pound (15 kg) round shot fired by one of the Royal Navy ships. USRC Eagle, along with two of the involved British ships HMS Narcissus and HMS Dispatch, are among six vessels celebrated in the lyrics of "Semper Paratus", the service march of the Revenue Marine's successor force, the U.S. Coast Guard.

Jamesport Meeting House is a historic meeting house located at Jamesport in Suffolk County, New York. It is in the form of a 2-story gable-fronted building with a 1+1⁄2-story wing to the east. It features an open bell tower topped by a two-tiered, four-sided Mansard roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
