Curl Curl

Freshwater is a suburb of northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Freshwater is located 17 kilometres (11 mi) north-east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council and is part of the Northern Beaches region.

The beach is flanked by a headland at each end and can produce excellent surf. There is a large rock pool at the northern end. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards and has its own surf lifesaving club. Freshwater Beach is one of the most popular of Sydney's 21 Northern Beaches and is visited by around 3,000 people on weekends and public holidays during the summer months.

Wingala is a locality in the suburbs of North Curl Curl and Dee Why, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is within the Northern Beaches Council local government area. It refers to the Western section of Wingala Hill, which lies between the floodplains of Dee Why Lagoon and Curl Curl Lagoon, and forms Dee Why Headland where it meets the Tasman Sea. Wingala Reserve can be found on the southern slope of Wingala Hill, on the border between Dee Why and North Curl Curl. It is a piece of crown land that demonstrates some of the vegetation that once existed all over the area.

Established in 1983 as Manly Girls High School, and then became Freshwater High School, the school caters to approximately 650 students from Year 11 to Year 12. The school is operated by the New South Wales Department of Education; the principal is Chantell Phair.

Established in 1859 as Manly Public School, the campus caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12; and admission to the campus is based entirely on academic excellence through the Selective High Schools Test. Students seeking enrolment into Years 8 to 11 will be coordinated through the school, and must also sit for the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) Higher Ability Selection Test. The school is operated by the New South Wales Department of Education; the principal is Kathryn O'Sullivan.

St Luke's Grammar School is a dual campus independent Anglican co-educational primary and secondary day school, located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The school was founded in 1993 as the amalgamation of Roseby Preparatory School, Peninsula Grammar School and St Luke's Anglican School for Girls. Stella Maris College is an independent Roman Catholic high school for girls, located on the northern end of Manly Beach in Manly, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1931 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the College provides a religious and general education in the Benedictine tradition for approximately 950 girls from Year 7 to Year 12 from the surrounding area and from overseas. Stella Maris is a day school so international students board with homestay families in the local area. In recent years governance of the College has passed to Good Samaritan Education, established by the Sisters for the continued canonical oversight of all the Congregation's schools.

Stony Range Botanic Garden is a botanic garden specialising in native Australian flora located in Dee Why, New South Wales, Australia. The garden is wheelchair accessible, has walking tracks of varying lengths and inclinations, and can be booked for functions and weddings. The garden is jointly administered by Northern Beaches Council and a voluntary advisory committee. The garden also receives support in the form of public donations, and volunteers who care for the garden.The garden also hosts an annual Spring Festival.
