Cobb's Comedy Club is a stand-up comedy venue in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. It was founded in 1982 and has had many top comedians on its stage.

San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) was a private college of contemporary art in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1871, SFAI was one of the oldest art schools in the United States and the oldest west of the Mississippi River. Approximately 220 undergraduates and 112 graduate students were enrolled in 2021. The institution was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), and was a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD). The school closed permanently in July of 2022.

The Diego Rivera Gallery is building, formerly a student-directed art gallery and exhibition space for work by San Francisco Art Institute students.

The Real World: San Francisco is the third season of MTV's reality television series The Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is the second season of The Real World to be filmed in the Pacific States region of the United States, specifically in California after The Real World: Los Angeles. The season featured a total of eight cast members over the course of the season, as one cast member was evicted and replaced. This is the first season to be filmed in San Francisco, a location later used in the twenty-ninth season, The Real World: Ex-Plosion. The Real World: San Francisco is noteworthy for the depiction of Pedro Zamora's struggle with AIDS, and his and other cast members' confrontations with David "Puck" Rainey, which led to Rainey's eviction. These conflicts provided what Entertainment Weekly called emotional high points for the season, and are credited with making The Real World a hit. It was ranked #7 on Time magazine's list of 32 Epic Moments in Reality-TV History. The season is also notable for featuring the first-ever same-sex commitment ceremony on TV, between Zamora and his partner, Sean Sasser.

The North Beach Malt House is an historical landmark building, located at 445 Francisco Street in San Francisco, California. It originally served as a malting factory and brewery for 40 years. It was nearly destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The owner at the time, George W. Bauer, rebuilt the Malt House using concrete and steel girders. His company, Bauer & Schweitzer, continued to supply malt to Bay Area breweries, including the Anchor Brewing Company, into the 1970s. Following its closure in 1981, the building fell into disrepair and was then used for the on-site filming of several movies and TV shows, including Don Johnson’s Nash Bridges.The site was developed into condominiums in the mid-90s and began selling in 2001. MBH Architects kept as much of the original structure as possible (even the two-story grain silos), creating a European-style residential properties with 88 loft units, ranging from 800 to 1,600 sf each. The complex has a courtyard measuring 150 x 60 feet.

Madame Tussauds San Francisco is a wax museum located in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco in California. The attraction opened on June 26, 2014 and became the 17th Madame Tussauds museum to open worldwide. The attraction features wax figures of famous figures from movies, music, politics, popular culture and sport. It also celebrates “The Spirit of San Francisco” with wax figures of local artists, musicians and activists from the city's past.

Macondray Lane is a small pedestrian lane on the southeastern side of Russian Hill in San Francisco, California. It forms a wooded enclave that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as the Russian Hill–Macondray Lane District.Macondray Lane extends two blocks east–west between Leavenworth and Taylor Streets, paralleling Union and Green Streets. At the Taylor Street end, a set of wooden steps descend from the lane to Taylor Street. Views from the lane extend northward to Alcatraz Island and the San Francisco Bay. In the 2017 Netflix documentary "The Untold Tales of Armistead Maupin" Maupin confirms that Macondray Lane was the inspiration for "Barbary Lane" in Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, as previously reported.

The San Francisco Dungeon was a tourist attraction that recreated historical events using 360° sets, special effects, and live actors. Visitors walked through the Dungeon, and were guided through each show by professional actors. The attraction also contained a dark boat ride. The San Francisco Dungeon was opened in June 2014, following the success of its European counterparts which include the London Dungeon and the Amsterdam Dungeon. The Dungeons are owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments. According to its website, beginning in November 2021, it was permanently closed, however Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum remains open.

Jefferson and Taylor station is a streetcar station in the Fisherman's Wharf district of San Francisco, California, serving the San Francisco Municipal Railway's E Embarcadero and F Market & Wharves heritage railway lines. It is located on Jefferson Street at Taylor Street. The station opened on March 4, 2000, with the streetcar's extension to Fisherman's Wharf.The stop is served by the L Owl bus route, which provides service along the F Market & Wharves and L Taraval lines during the late night hours when trains do not operate.

Fisherman's Wharf is a neighborhood and popular tourist attraction in San Francisco, California, United States. It roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street. The F Market streetcar runs through the area, the Powell-Hyde cable car line runs to Aquatic Park, at the edge of Fisherman's Wharf, and the Powell-Mason cable car line runs a few blocks away.
