Lyons House is a heritage-listed private residence at 733 Port Hacking Road, Dolans Bay, Sutherland Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Robin Boyd; Marion Hall Best designed the window coverings; and Bruce Mackenzie designed the landscape. It was built during 1967 by C.H. and C.R. Ellis, with site supervision by McConnel, Smith and Johnson. It is also known as the Robin Boyd designed house, Marion Hall Best interiors, Bruce Mackenzie landscaping and Romberg & Boyd. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 19 December 2014.

It is also known as Mandalay and York House. The property is privately owned. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Dolans Bay is a cove on the Burraneer Bay adjacent to the lower estuarine Hacking River of Port Hacking in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Port Hacking Estuary (Aboriginal Tharawal language: Deeban), an open youthful tide dominated, drowned valley estuary, is located in southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Sydney central business district. Port Hacking has its source in the upper reaches of the Hacking River south of Helensburgh, and several smaller creeks, including South West Arm, Bundeena Creek and The Basin and flows generally to the east before reaching its mouth, the Tasman Sea, south of Cronulla and north–east of Bundeena. Its tidal effect is terminated at the weir at Audley, in the Royal National Park. The lower estuary features a substantial marine delta, which over time has prograded upstream. There is also a substantial fluvial (riverine delta) of the Hacking River at Grays Point. The two deltas are separated by a deep basin. The total catchment area of Port Hacking is approximately 165 square kilometres (64 sq mi) and the area surrounding the estuary is generally managed by Sutherland Shire Council. While the area to the north of Port Hacking is urbanised, the area to the south is relatively pristine and forms the northern boundary of the Royal National Park. The land adjacent to Port Hacking was occupied for many thousands of years by the Tharawal and Eora, both Aboriginal peoples, and their associated clans. They used the bay as an important source of food and a place for trade.

Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer (also OLM or OLMCCB) is an all-girls 7–12 school situated on Burraneer Bay, in Sydney's southern suburbs, Australia. Our Lady of Mercy College, Burraneer is a Newman Selective Roman Catholic School. It was founded by in 1932 by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1960, the college moved to its current location in Burraneer Bay. The current enrolment is ~550. The college is affiliated with the Australasian Mercy Secondary Schools Association (AMSSA), Shire Combined Catholic Colleges (SCCC), Southern Sydney Combined Catholic Colleges (SSCCC) and NSW Combined Catholic Colleges (NSWCCC).

Burraneer is 26 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. Burraneer sits on the peninsula of Burraneer Point, on the north shore of the Port Hacking estuary. Burraneer Bay forms the western border and Gunnamatta Bay the eastern border. Woolooware is the only adjacent suburb. Cronulla is located across Gunnamatta Bay. The suburbs of Dolans Bay, Port Hacking and Caringbah South are located across Burraneer Bay. The villages of Maianbar and Bundeena are located on the opposite bank of Port Hacking. Burraneer is a mostly residential suburb comprising predominantly large family homes with some offering expansive water views of the Port Hacking.

De La Salle College, Cronulla is an independent Roman Catholic comprehensive co-educational secondary day school, located in Cronulla a southern suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1936 by the De La Salle Brothers, the college currently caters for approximately 470 students in Year 11 and Year 12 from the Sutherland Shire parishes of the Archdiocese of Sydney. The college is under the patronage of the Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher. De La Salle College is one of 18 Lasallian Schools in Australia, and in 1994 appointed its first lay headmaster. Caringbah is 24 kilometres (15 mi) south of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Sutherland Shire. Caringbah once stretched from Woolooware Bay on the Georges River to Yowie Bay and Burraneer Bay on the Port Hacking estuary. A number of Caringbah localities have been declared as separate suburbs but still share the postcode 2229. These suburbs include Taren Point to the north on the Georges River, and Port Hacking, Lilli Pilli, Dolans Bay and Caringbah South, located on the Port Hacking River to the south.

Caringbah South is a suburb located on the Port Hacking coastline in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 25 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. Caringbah South sits on a peninsula, on the north shore of the Port Hacking estuary. The suburb forms the eastern border of Burraneer Bay and the western border of Yowie Bay. Caringbah is the only northern adjacent suburb, whilst Lilli Pilli, Dolans Bay and Port Hacking are adjacent southern suburbs.
