Petty France, London

Palmer Street is a street in the City of Westminster in London that runs between Petty France in the north and Victoria Street in the south. It is crossed by Caxton Street and Butler Place. The lower half of Palmer Street, below Caxton Street, is pedestrianised. The street is named after the priest and philanthropist James Palmer whose almshouses stood on the east side from 1654 to 1881. In the 19th century the lower part was known as Palmer's Passage and the upper part as Gardner's Lane. From 1953 to 2019, the street was the location of the London offices of the British Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).

The Royal Military Chapel, commonly known as the Guards' Chapel, is a British chapel that serves as the religious home of the Household Division at the Wellington Barracks in London, United Kingdom. Completed in 1838 in the style of a Grecian temple and re-designed during the 1870s, the chapel was damaged by German bombing during the Blitz in 1940 and 1941. On Sunday, 18 June 1944, the chapel was hit again, this time by a V-1 bomb during the morning service. The explosion of the flying bomb collapsed the concrete roof onto the congregation, which left 121 people killed and 141 injured (both military and civilian). Using the memorials from the old chapel as foundations, a new chapel was built in a Modernist style in 1963. The building was given Grade II* listed status in 1970.The Flanders Fields Memorial Garden is situated adjacent to the chapel.On the last Tuesday of each month, except August, the chapel hosts a free 45-minute lunchtime concert that features a wide variety of music. The Order of the Garter Banner of FM Lord Alexander of Tunis was transferred from St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle to the Guards' Chapel following his death in 1969.

Blewcoat School is a building in Caxton Street, London, that was built in 1709 as a school for the poor (a Bluecoat school). It was used as a school until 1926. In 1954, it was purchased by the National Trust who used it as a gift shop and information centre. In 2013 the building was refurbished as The Blewcoat, a store for fashion designer Ian Stuart.

The Flanders Fields Memorial Garden is a monument dedicated to the participants of World War I situated alongside the Guards Chapel at Wellington Barracks in Central London, England. The garden was opened by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and King Philippe of the Belgians on 6 November 2014. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge were also in attendance, alongside soldiers of the Household Division.

The Asticus Building is an architecturally notable building at 21 Palmer Street in the City of Westminster, London.The building was designed by architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands with a cylindrical shape on a concrete frame in order to maximise light due to the proximity of nearby buildings. The nearby buildings, rising to up to seven storeys, made the site so difficult that it had remained undeveloped for 25 years despite its prime location. A "blister" structure at the rear in a sheltered corner was used to house core services in order to maximise usable space and avoid an awkward floor layout. The building was completed in 2006.Tenants include The Work Foundation. Outside the entrance is Tim Morgan's steel and glass sculpture Cypher (2004), one of three of that work.In 2016 it was purchased by Axa Investment Managers for £80m.

Caxton Hall is a building on the corner of Caxton Street and Palmer Street, in Westminster, London, England. It is a Grade II listed building primarily noted for its historical associations. It hosted many mainstream and fringe political and artistic events and after the Second World War was the most popular register office used by high society and celebrities who required a civil marriage.

St. Ermin's Hotel is a four-star central London hotel adjacent to St James's Park Underground station, close to Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament. The Grade II-listed late Victorian building, built as one of the early mansion blocks in the capital, is thought to be named after an ancient monastery reputed to have occupied the site pre-10th century. Converted to a hotel in 1896–99, it became during the 1930s, through the Second World War and beyond, a meeting place of the British intelligence services, notably the birthplace of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), and where notorious Cambridge Five double agents Philby and MacLean met their Russian handlers. St Ermin's is now part of Marriott Hotels' Autograph Collection. The hotel is owned by the family of Tei-Fu Chen, founder of Sunrider International.

It is joined on the north side by Vandon Street and crossed by Palmer Street. The street was once named Little Chapel Street. 102 Petty France is an office block on Petty France in Westminster, London, overlooking St. James's Park, which was designed by Fitzroy Robinson & Partners, with Sir Basil Spence, and completed in 1976. It was well known as the main location for the UK Home Office between 1978 and 2004, when it was known as 50 Queen Anne's Gate; it now houses the Ministry of Justice, Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service and the Government Legal Department. The building is 56 metres (184 ft) high, with 14 floors providing 51,000 square metres (550,000 sq ft) of office space.

Wellington Barracks is a military barracks in Westminster, central London, for the Foot Guards battalions on public duties in that area. The building is located about three hundred yards from Buckingham Palace, allowing the guard to be able to reach the palace very quickly in an emergency, and lies between Birdcage Walk and Petty France. Three companies are based at the barracks, as well as all of the Foot Guards bands and the regimental headquarters.
