Evere railway station

Evere (French: [eˈvɛːʁ], Dutch: [ˈeːvərə] (listen)) is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region (Belgium). On 1 January 2006, the municipality had a total population of 33,462. The total area is 5.02 km2 (1.94 sq mi) which gives a population density of 6,668/km2 (17,270/sq mi). In common with all of Brussels' municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch).

EFQM (the European Foundation for Quality Management) is a not-for-profit membership foundation in Brussels, established in 1989 to increase the competitiveness of the European economy. The initial impetus for forming EFQM was a response to the work of W. Edwards Deming and the development of the concepts of Total Quality Management.

The Josaphat Brownfield (formerly the Schaerbeek Josaphat marshalling yard) is a 25 ha (62-acre) piece of land located between Schaerbeek and Evere in Brussels. Once a marshalling yard between the Meiser railway station and the Evere railway station linking Schaerbeek and Halle, the brownfield has since developed into a biodiversity haven in the heart of the European Union's capital.

The Royal Kituro Avia Schaerbeek Rugby Club, often shortened Kituro RC, is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. On 8th February 2015, they beat RC Soignies 356-3, breaking the all-time record for the highest scoring game in Rugby union history. The club is based in Schaerbeek, a suburb to Brussels. The official colours of the club are green and black. The Kituro is a 50-year-old rugby club; one of the most successful and best known in Belgium with more than 560 players from U7 to U19, Seniors, Veterans, Ladies and a Touch Team. It benefits from the best quality rugby ground in Belgium with its two new synthetic pitches (International IRB Standards), six changing rooms and a friendly and very comfortable club house.The club is located in Brussels alongside the Boulevard Léopold III (Zaventem airport highway) between NATO and the EU Schuman area.

't Hoeveke is a historic farmhouse in Evere, a municipality of Brussels, Belgium. Built in 1638, it is the oldest surviving witness of the area's rural past and a remnant of a domain attested since the 15th century, which once housed the representative of the Duke of Brabant in the municipality. Altered in the 19th century and later restored by the municipality, the farmhouse has since been assigned a cultural function. The building stands along the Marnestraat, the former road to Cologne, following the curve of the old cobblestone route. Owing to its age, architectural features, and location, it remains an important place of memory for the community of Evere.

Saint-Josse-ten-Noode Cemetery (French: Cimetière de Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Dutch: Begraafplaats van Sint-Joost-ten-Node) is a cemetery belonging to the municipality of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Brussels (Belgium), where the inhabitants of Saint-Josse have the right to be buried. It is not located in Saint-Josse itself, but in the neighbouring municipality of Schaerbeek.

Meiser railway station is a railway station in Brussels, Belgium, which was opened in 1976. It is located on line 26 between the stations of Schaerbeek-Josaphat and of Mérode in the municipality of Schaerbeek. The crossroad Meiser on the greater ring is located a hundred meters away from the station which lies under the Chaussée de Louvain/Leuvensesteenweg. The station can be accessed via the Chaussée de Louvain, the Avenue Rogier/Rogierlaan or the Rue de la Luzerne/Luzernestraat.

Bordet railway station is a railway station in Brussels, Belgium. It is located on the line 26 between the stations of Haren and Evere. The station is located in the municipality of Evere, next to the border with the City of Brussels, at the crossroad between the Chaussée de Haecht/Haachtsesteenweg and the Avenue Jules Bordet/Jules Bordetlaan. The railway station is located under street level. At street level, there are the last stops of tram route 55 and bus route 59, which offer a connection with regional transport. Bus routes 45 and 69 also stop at the Bordet railway station. There multiple large employers in the Bordet station area. Together with its location near the center of Evere and near the crossing of the Avenue Bordet with important roads like the Avenue Leopold III and the Chaussée de Haecht, it makes the Bordet station area one of the most busy locations in the Evere municipality.

The VRT (Dutch: [ˌveːjɛrˈteː]), is the national public-service broadcaster for the Flemish Community of Belgium.

Radio Vlaanderen Internationaal (Dutch for "Flanders International Radio"), was the international broadcasting service of Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT), the public broadcaster of the Flemish community in Belgium. RVi broadcast on cable FM and DAB in Flanders, mediumwave and satellite radio in Europe, and worldwide on shortwave. It was also available in North America FTA on AMC 4 satellite through the Home2US platform alongside BVN Netherlands. Shortwave and other services ended on December 31, 2011. Domestic Flemish stations Radio 1 and Radio 2 will instead be broadcast worldwide via satellite, and all radio channels will also be available worldwide via the Internet. RVI was previously known as Belgium Radio International and broadcast in various languages, including English.

Classic 21 is a Belgian public FM radio station, part of the RTBF broadcasting organisation. The station, based in Mons, was the only Classic rock radio in Belgium until 2008 when they switched to adult-contemporary and pop. The station plays predominantly B-side and obscure Anglophone music of the 1960s to 1990s for a French-speaking audience across Wallonia and Brussels and beyond.
