Classic 21 is a Belgian public FM radio station, part of the RTBF broadcasting organisation. The station, based in Mons, was the only Classic rock radio in Belgium until 2008 when they switched to adult-contemporary and pop. The station plays predominantly B-side and obscure Anglophone music of the 1960s to 1990s for a French-speaking audience across Wallonia and Brussels and beyond.

The Enclosure of the executed (French: enclos des fusillés, Dutch: erepark der gefusilleerden) is a small cemetery, located at the Rue Colonel Bourg in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek, where 365 resistance fighters of both world wars are buried. The field of honour is located where the national shooting range previously was located. Nowadays, it lies on the plot of several media networks, including the Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Organisation and the Belgian Radio and television of the French Community, between the terrains of RTBF and the kindergarten of RTBF.During the First World War, the shooting range was seized by the German forces who executed thirty-five people on the location, including Jozef Baeckelmans, Philippe Baucq, Louis Bril, Edith Cavell, and Gabrielle Petit. During the Second World War, 261 more people were executed by German soldiers, including Youra Livchitz, known for stopping a Holocaust train, saving dozens of Jews transported to Auschwitz concentration camp. After the war, the turf where they were buried was rebaptised to a memorial site. Thirty-eight graves are of unknown individuals. A memorial commemorates the thirty-five executed individuals during the First World War. In 1970, another monument was established, honouring the unknown Belgian political prisoners of the Second World War. It exists of a high burial column and an urn with relics of victims of the concentration camps. Every last Sunday of April, an official ceremony is organised honouring the prisoners of the concentration camps of the Second World War, in the presence of the highest dignitaries of Belgium.The burial site is part of the protected immovable heritage of Schaerbeek since 12 January 1983.

The National shooting range (French: Tir national, Dutch: Nationale Schietbaan) was a firing range and military training complex of 20 hectares (49 acres) situated in the municipality of Schaerbeek in Brussels. During World Wars I and II the site was used for the executions of civilians, prisoners and captured members of the resistance.

Saint-Josse-ten-Noode Cemetery (French: Cimetière de Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Dutch: Begraafplaats van Sint-Joost-ten-Node) is a cemetery belonging to the municipality of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Brussels (Belgium), where the inhabitants of Saint-Josse have the right to be buried. It is not located in Saint-Josse itself, but in the neighbouring municipality of Schaerbeek.

The Diamant premetro station is a station on the Brussels Metro located in the municipality of Schaerbeek in Brussels, Belgium. It was inaugurated on May 2, 1972. The station is a "premetro" station. It is thus not used by conventional subway trains, but by Brussels trams. It is one of four subway stations of the so-called Greater Ring axis built in the 1970s, which runs under the greater ring road. This underground station is currently served by tram routes 7 and 25. It offers a connection with bus routes 12, 21, 28, 29 and 79 at ground level. The station gets its name from the avenue of the same name Avenue Diamant/Diamantlaan. It is located at the crossroad between this avenue, the greater ring, the Avenue des Cerisiers/Kerselarenlaan and the Avenue de Roodebeek/Roodebeeklaan next to the buildings of the public television and radio networks, the Dutch-speaking VRT and the French-speaking RTBF. It was built at the same time as the E40 freeway which ends here and splits into several tunnels and off-ramps.

The British International School of Brussels (BISB) is a small primary school in Belgium. It was established in 2000 and in April 2008 expanded into separate infant and junior departments. The school provides education based on the English National curriculum for children of more than 30 different nationalities. BISB is an independent, fee financed school situated in the south of Schaerbeek near the RTBF television centre. The school’s 2008 Independent Schools Inspectorate report notes that “Pupils have a strong sense of self-esteem. They feel valued and are happy and confident, as the school has an atmosphere of respect and care for others”. The school was the first school in continental Europe to have Promethean interactive whiteboards installed with the integrated projector and now has interactive whiteboards installed in every classroom from the Nursery to year 6. BISB is a non-selective entry school and prior to admission, most pupils undergo informal interviews with the Headteacher, if they are in Belgium. Admission is also subject to the availability of spaces in the required year group.

The Clockarium is a museum in Schaerbeek, in the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium, devoted to the Art Deco ceramic clock. It specializes into the faience mantel clocks, which were the first timepiece affordable to everyone and proudly decorating many homes in Belgium and Northern France during the 1920s and 1930s. It is located on the Reyers boulevard in a stylish Art-Deco house built in 1935 by Belgian architect Gustave Bossuyt.

Belga is a Belgian news agency which was founded in 1920 as the Agence télégraphique belge de presse by Pierre-Marie Olivier and Maurice Travailleur. The agency was based in Schaerbeek.

The Rue Victor Hugo (French) or Victor Hugostraat (Dutch) is a street in the Schaerbeek municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It is named after the French writer Victor Hugo, who spent his exile of 1851 to 1870 in Brussels. It runs from the Chaussée de Louvain/Leuvense Steenweg to the Avenue de Roodebeek/Roodebeeklaan.

The Royal Kituro Avia Schaerbeek Rugby Club, often shortened Kituro RC, is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. On 8th February 2015, they beat RC Soignies 356-3, breaking the all-time record for the highest scoring game in Rugby union history. The club is based in Schaerbeek, a suburb to Brussels. The official colours of the club are green and black. The Kituro is a 50-year-old rugby club; one of the most successful and best known in Belgium with more than 560 players from U7 to U19, Seniors, Veterans, Ladies and a Touch Team. It benefits from the best quality rugby ground in Belgium with its two new synthetic pitches (International IRB Standards), six changing rooms and a friendly and very comfortable club house.The club is located in Brussels alongside the Boulevard Léopold III (Zaventem airport highway) between NATO and the EU Schuman area.

The Georges Henri premetro station is part of the Brussels Metro system. It is located in the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium. The station opened on 30 January 1975. Named for the Avenue Georges Henrilaan, which runs perpendicular to the greater ring at the south end of the station, it is located on the Boulevard Brand Whitlocklaan section of the greater ring. It is the second of four stations on the greater ring premetro, connecting by Diamant premetro station to the north and Montgomery metro station to the south. The station is served by the 7 and 25 trams and the 27, 28 and 80 buses. As with the majority of Brussels metro stations an artwork is displayed in the station, a work entitled t Is de wind created by Flemish ceramicist Pieter Stockmans.
