Metro West Ambulance is an ambulance company based in the U.S. state of Oregon with ambulances and wheelie vans throughout Washington County and along the Oregon Coast (under the names Pacific West Ambulance, Bay Cities Ambulance, and Medix Ambulance). The Hillsboro School District 1J is a unified school district located in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. The district operates 26 elementary schools, four middle schools, and four high schools. Founded in 1851, the school district covers Hillsboro, Scholls, Reedville, North Plains, West Union, and other area communities. Total enrollment as of the 2019–2020 school year is 20,269 students, the fourth largest in the state.The district is labeled 1J, as it absorbed the West Union School District, the first district in the county; the J (for "joint") represents that the district extends into other counties, Yamhill and Multnomah. Hillsboro's elementary schools had been District 7 prior to consolidation in 1996. The high school district was 3J and included students from grades 7 through 12, and received students from the Hillsboro elementary district and five other elementary districts.The Hillsboro School District Board of Directors (school board) consists of seven elected members serving four-year terms. Members receive no pay for their work on the board. The district is part of the Northwest Regional Education Service District.The district also runs a special alternative school and the Hare Field athletic complex.

The Hillsboro Public Library is a two-location public library system in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. First opened in 1914 in a Carnegie library building, the system provides services to a population area of 137,000 people. As of 2015, the system had a usage of 922,000 visits per year, with circulation nearly 3 million items per year. One library is located near downtown in Shute Park, with the other location in the central portion of the city near the airport. The Hillsboro Public Library is part of Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS), which ensures library service is available to all residents of Washington County. As of 2015, the director of the library is Stephanie Chase.

The company was founded in 1985 in Beaverton, Oregon before moving to neighboring Hillsboro, Oregon. In February 2014, Greensboro, North Carolina-based RF Micro Devices and TriQuint announced a merger in which the new company would be Qorvo, Inc., with the merger completed on January 1, 2015.

Shute–Meierjurgen Farmstead is a farm located in the north of Hillsboro Airport, in the vicinity of Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Hawthorn Farm is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1998, it is the 15th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. The TriMet owned station does not have a parking lot nor bus connections. Artwork at the station utilizes electronics to provide waiting passengers with indicators of approaching trains, the wind's direction, and sounds from a neighboring wetlands area. The name of the station comes from the name of the family who once owned a farm and a historic home on the land, and is shared with a business park and an Intel campus.

At one time they were the largest book publisher in the Pacific Northwest. The privately owned company focuses on books from the Pacific Northwest, and has printed many important titles covering Oregon's history.

The Harold Wass Ray House is a historic home in Hillsboro in the U.S. state of Oregon. Built in 1935 for businessman Harold Wass Ray (1884-1969), it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. The two-story structure is of a Prairie School and Craftsman in architectural style.

Founded in 1983, the company went public in 1989 and is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol LSCC.

Soloflex refers to both the Soloflex exercise machine and to Soloflex, Inc., the company that created and produces it. Instead of pulleys, the Soloflex used an elastomer Weightstrap made of heavy-duty rubber to create variable resistance. The company started out as Bucksteel Mfg in Roswell, New Mexico, in a small plant on the old Army Air Force base south of town. It is now based in Hillsboro, Oregon.
