Uithuizen railway station

The Jacobikerk organ in Uithuizen in the Dutch province of Groningen was built in 1701 by Arp Schnitger. It has 28 stops which are distributed on two manuals and pedal. The instrument is one of the best preserved Schnitger organs. The organ has been used as a template for newly built organs in the 20th century and for the reconstruction of lost stops of other Schnitger organs.

Boterdiep (Gronings: Botterdaip; translation: Butter Deep) is a canal in the Province of Groningen in the Netherlands. It was intended for the inland navigation. The name relates to the dairy products transported through the canal. It used to have its source in the centre of Groningen, but it has been rerouted to the Van Starkenborghkanaal.

Startenhuizen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstɑrtə(n)ˌɦœyzə(n)]) is a hamlet at the border of the municipals Het Hogeland and Eemsdelta in the northeastern Netherlands. It is divided in two parts, the biggest in Eemsdelta, and a few farms in Het Hogeland. Startenhuizen is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Startenhuizen. It had place name signs, however some have been removed.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1391 as "to Stertingahusum". The etymology is unclear. In 1590, the church was demolished, and never replaced. Startenhuizen was home to 112 people in 1840. Nowadays, it consists of about 17 houses.

Kantens is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located in the municipality of Het Hogeland, about 16 km north of the city of Groningen. It had a population of around 965 including the surrounding area in January 2017.Kantens was a separate municipality until 1990, when it became a part of Hefshuizen.
