Daishimae Station

Tamanoi stable (玉ノ井部屋, Tamanoi-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Dewanoumi ichimon or group of stables. It was set up in 1990 by former sekiwake Tochiazuma Tomoyori, who branched off from Kasugano stable. He coached his son, who also wrestled under the name Tochiazuma, to ōzeki rank. Tamanoi reached retirement age in September 2009, and was succeeded by his son. As of January 2022, the stable had 23 wrestlers, two of them being a sekitori. The stable is based in Nishiarai in Tokyo's Adachi ward, and built new premises in 2004, 10 minutes from the old location. In December 2011 Tamanoi-oyakata and wrestlers from the stable assisted the police by starting street crime prevention patrols in the local area in the run up to the New Year celebrations.In September 2020 nineteen members of the stable tested positive for COVID-19, after a lower ranked wrestler became ill. Every wrestler at the stable was prevented from participating in the September tournament.

The ward consists of two separate areas: a small strip of land between the Sumida River and Arakawa River and a larger area north of the Arakawa River. The ward is bordered by the cities of Kawaguchi, Sōka and Yashio in Saitama and Katsushika, Sumida, Arakawa and Kita in Tokyo. The ward is called Adachi City in English. As of May 1, 2015, the ward has an estimated population of 692,707 and a population density of 13,010 persons per km². The total area is 53.25 km². The Adachi Land Transportation Office is located here, and automobiles registered at this office bear Adachi number plates.

Toneri Park (舎人公園, Toneri Kōen) is a public park in Adachi Ward, Tokyo, Japan. It is the third biggest park in the 23 special wards of Tokyo. It was opened in 1981 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Emperor Hirohito's rise to power. The park can be accessed from the adjacent Toneri-kōen Station.
