Sant Pere de Torelló

The Sub-Pyrenees (Catalan: Subpirineu) are a mountainous region in Catalonia, Spain, forming a section of the southern foothills of the Pyrenees. They are located at the eastern end of the Pre-Pyrenees, west of the Catalan Transversal Range, between the lower Ripollès and an area of the high Garrotxa.

The Santuari de Bellmunt ('Sanctuary of Bellmunt') is a sanctuary in the municipality of Sant Pere de Torelló (Osona), which is located on top of the Serra of Bellmunt at 1246 m altitude. There is a viewpoint from where visitors can see the plain of Vic, the Pyrénées, the Ges Valley, and Bisaura. Along the sanctuary is a refuge and a restaurant, all built on the rock. It can be accessed on foot or by car from Sant Pere de Torelló, and from Vidrà only on foot. The image of the Lady of Bellmunt is a 22 cm painted statue of Alabaster.

It is situated in the valley of the Ges river, between the Bellmunt and Milany ranges, in the north of the comarca. It is linked to Sant Quirze de Besora by a local road. There are the roman churches of Sant Bartomeu de Covildases and of Santa Margarida de Cabagès in the municipal territory. Vidrà became part of Osona in the comarcal revision of 1990: previously it formed part of the Ripollès.

Santa Maria de Besora (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsantə məˈɾiə ðə βəˈzɔɾə]) is a municipality in the comarca of Osona[1] in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the north side of the Bellmunt range in the north of the comarca. It is linked to Sant Quirze de Besora and to Vidrà by a local road. Besora castle has an eleventh-century Romanesque church: there is also a pre-Roman chapel at Sant Moí. Santa Maria de Besora became part of Osona in the comarcal revision of 1990: previously it formed part of the Ripollès.

The El Ter Industrial Museum (Catalan: Museu Industrial del Ter) or MIT, in Manlleu (Osona), is a museum about the territory and society whose impact goes beyond the building walls and the collection within, in order to emphasize the value of the industrial and natural heritage of the middle basin of the Ter. The MIT is in Can Sanglas, an old spinning factory from 1841, which houses three permanent exhibitions: "La fàbrica de riu" (The river factory), "La societat industrial" (The industrial society) and "Els rius mediterranis" (Mediterranean rivers) and the Mediterranean Rivers Study Centre, or CERM. In addition, it organises temporary exhibitions and different activities to get to know the area's unique industrialisation process and the biodiversity of the Ter and other Mediterranean rivers. Other MIT areas to visit outside Can Sanglas are the Borgonyà colony (Sant Vicenç de Torelló), which has an interpretation centre, and the Rusiñol colony, in Manlleu. Opened on 23 June 2004, the MIT is part of the Science and Technology Museum of Catalonia, the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network and the Osona Museum Network.

Sant Quirze de Besora (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsaŋ ˈkiɾzə ðə βəˈzɔɾə]) is a municipality in the comarca of Osona[1] in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the banks of the Ter river in the north of the comarca. It is on the main communication route between Barcelona and Puigcerdà, served by the C-17 road and a station on the Rodalies de Catalunya railway line. It is also linked to Prats de Lluçanès and the Berguedà by the C-149 road. There is a tradition of textile manufacture in the town, as well as a distillery and a hydroelectric power station. Sant Quirze de Besora became part of Osona in the comarcal revision of 1990: previously it formed part of the Ripollès.
