Senovo (pronounced [sɛˈnɔːʋɔ] or [sɛˈnoːʋɔ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. It developed into a large settlement after its brown coal mine began to operate in 1839, but especially in the early 20th century. The mine closed in the second half of the 1990s. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Christ the Saviour and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was built in 1975 and has a square floor plan with a slanted roof and a separate belfry.

Locally it is referred to as Šedem Church because the road up the hill leads from Šedem, but technically it is built on the territory of Dovško. It is dedicated to Saint James and belongs to the Parish of Senovo. It is an originally Romanesque building that was rebuilt in the late 17th century. The main altar dates to 1800.

The Brestanica Thermal Power Plant (Slovene: Termoelektrarna Brestanica) is a natural gas and petroleum fueled power station in Brestanica, Slovenia. The plant is owned by GEN energija and operated by Termoelektrarna Brestanica Doo. Composed of gas turbines with fast response times to changes in demand, the plant is primarily used to provide ancillary services to the electrical grid such as frequency restoration; the plant also provides traditional electricity generation during times of high demand.
