Šedem

Dobrova (pronounced [ˈdoːbɾɔʋa]) is a settlement in the hills north of Senovo in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. It is a dispersed settlement made up of smaller hamlets such as Bukovšica, Dobrova, Na Terogu, Prebkovje, Puste Ložice, and Plešivec, as well as isolated farms. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.

Dovško (pronounced [ˈdoːu̯ʃkɔ]) is a settlement west of Senovo in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The local church is built on Podgora Hill between Dovško and Šedem. Locally it is referred to as Šedem Church because the road up the hill leads from Šedem, but technically it is built on the territory of Dovško. It is dedicated to Saint James and belongs to the Parish of Senovo. It is an originally Romanesque building that was rebuilt in the late 17th century. The main altar dates to 1800.

Reštanj (pronounced [ɾɛˈʃtaːn], in older sources also Raštanj, German: Reichenstein) is a dispersed settlement in the hills north of Senovo in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The local church is built on a hill in the eastern part of the settlement and is dedicated to Saint Jodocus (Slovene: sveti Jošt). It belongs to the Parish of Koprivnica. It is a Gothic building that was restyled in the Baroque in the 18th century. On a hill north of the settlement are the ruins of Reštanj Castle. It was mentioned in written documents dating to 1235. It was destroyed during the Croatian–Slovene Peasant Revolt in 1573 and never rebuilt.

It developed into a large settlement after its brown coal mine began to operate in 1839, but especially in the early 20th century. The mine closed in the second half of the 1990s. The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Christ the Saviour and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was built in 1975 and has a square floor plan with a slanted roof and a separate belfry.

The local church, built on a hill northeast of the main core of the settlement, is dedicated to the Holy Cross. It is a medieval structure that was remodelled in the Baroque style in the 18th century. Its interior was refurbished in the 19th century.

The Brestanica Thermal Power Plant (Slovene: Termoelektrarna Brestanica) is a natural gas and petroleum fueled power station in Brestanica, Slovenia. The plant is owned by GEN energija and operated by Termoelektrarna Brestanica Doo. Composed of gas turbines with fast response times to changes in demand, the plant is primarily used to provide ancillary services to the electrical grid such as frequency restoration; the plant also provides traditional electricity generation during times of high demand.
