Condell Park

Bankstown Bunker, formerly known as Air Defence Headquarters Sydney (ADHQ Sydney), is a heritage-listed defunct Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) operations facility, located on the corner of Marion and Edgar Street, in Condell Park, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the Allied Works Council and built from 1943 to 1944 by Stuart Bros Pty Ltd of Sydney. It is also known as Air Defence Headquarters Ruin Sydney (former), No. 1 Fighter Section Headquarters, 1FSHQ, Bankstown Bunker and RAAF No. 1 Installation Bankstown; No. 101 Fighter Sector. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 18 November 2011.After the arrival of General Douglas MacArthur in Australia during World War II, Bankstown Airport was established as a key strategic air force base to support the war effort. During this period the specially constructed bunker became an important RAAF headquarters from 1945 until its closure in 1947. The Bankstown bunker is currently buried under a public park which lies at the end of Taylor Street.

Bankstown Airport (IATA: BWU, ICAO: YSBK) is an airport and business park located in the City of Canterbury-Bankstown, approximately 26 km (16 mi) from the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), Australia, and 17 km (11 mi) west of Sydney Airport. It is situated on 313 ha (770 acres) of land and has three parallel runways, several apron areas, a small passenger terminal and a business park, home to more than 160 businesses. The airport, is home to numerous fixed-wing and helicopter flying schools and also caters to charter and private business flights, freight, aeromedical services, recreational flights, aircraft maintenance businesses, private aircraft and emergency services. Bankstown Airport operates 24 hours a day, with limitations placed on night circuit training. The airport's air traffic control tower is listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List.

The Dunc Gray Velodrome is an Australian velodrome located at Bass Hill approximately 5 kilometres north west of the Sydney suburb of Bankstown. The cycling venue for the 2000 Summer Olympics, the Dunc Gray Velodrome was opened on 28 November 1999 with an opening ceremony which included performances by local talent Darren Sharp and other community groups. The Velodrome is named after Dunc Gray, the first Australian to win a cycling gold medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932.At the time of its construction, the State Government owned the velodrome. Bankstown Council managed the velodrome under a sublease. In 1998, the council sublet the velodrome to Bankstown Sports Club, under a 21-year sublease. The council resumed control of the velodrome in 2019.

Mount Saint Joseph, Milperra (commonly known as MSJ) is a Systemic Roman Catholic comprehensive single-sex secondary day school for girls, located in Milperra, a south-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1960, the school is based on the values and spirit of Mary MacKillop. It was established under the auspices of the Sisters of St Joseph. The current principal is Narelle Archer and the assistant principal being Clair-Maree Simpson. Mount Saint Joseph's brother school is De La Salle Revesby Heights.

Yagoona, a suburb of the local government area City of Canterbury-Bankstown, is located 20 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is a part of the South-western Sydney region. Yagoona is an Aboriginal word meaning 'now' or 'today'. It was the site of the first McDonald's restaurant to open in Australia in December 1971.

Bankstown Girls High School is a government-funded single-sex comprehensive secondary day school for girls, located in Bankstown, a south-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1959, the school enrolled approximately 550 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom less than one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 97 percent were from a language background other than English.

Bankstown Oval (also known as Bankstown Memorial Oval) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Bankstown, a south-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches and has been used by New South Wales, particularly for one day matches. It has also hosted 4 first class games in the Sheffield Shield. Its pavilion is named after Australian Test batsmen Steve Waugh and Mark Waugh, who both appeared for the Bankstown District Cricket Club. It hosted a Women's Ashes test on England's 2002/3 tour and again in January 2010. The ground has also been used for local AFL matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 8,000 people. In the 1940s and 1950s it was the home ground of Bankstown Soccer Club, the predecessor to Bankstown City FC.

Yagoona railway station is located on the Bankstown line, serving the Sydney suburb of Yagoona. It is served by Sydney Trains T3 Bankstown line services.

Revesby, a suburb of local government area City of Canterbury-Bankstown, is located 22 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is a part of the South-western Sydney region. Revesby is mostly a residential suburb, which was developed as part of Sydney's post-war urban sprawl, and contains many modest freestanding bungalows built from asbestos cement sheeting (fibro). Revesby is bounded on the north by Canterbury Road and the suburbs of Bankstown and Condell Park, on the south by Revesby Heights and Picnic Point, on the Georges River, on the west by Panania, and on the east by Padstow.

Georges Hall, a suburb of local government area City of Canterbury-Bankstown, is located 24 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is part of the South-western Sydney region. Georges Hall is bounded by the Georges River in the west and Bankstown Aerodrome in the south. The suburbs of Bass Hill and Condell Park lie to the north and east, respectively.
