Raymond, New Hampshire

Raymond is a census-designated place (CDP) and the main village in the town of Raymond, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population of the CDP was 3,738 at the 2020 census, out of 10,684 in the entire town.

The Raymond Railroad Depot is a historic former Boston and Maine railroad station at 1 Depot Street in the center of Raymond, New Hampshire. Built in 1893, it is one of the state's finest and least-altered 19th-century stations. It is presently operated by the Raymond Historical Society as a museum, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Raymond High School is a public high school in the state of New Hampshire. Located in the town of Raymond, over 400 students attend. Its mascot is the ram, and the school colors are green and white.

Camp Onway, in Raymond, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on the shores of Onway Lake, was a property owned by local councils of the Boy Scouts of America. Since 2007 the site, now known as Zion's Camp, has been owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The North Branch River is an 8.2-mile-long (13.2 km) river in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Lamprey River, part of the Great Bay and Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The river begins in Bear Brook State Park, in Deerfield, New Hampshire, at the outlet to Beaver Pond. Flowing southeast, it quickly leaves the park, then enters the town of Candia. It passes under New Hampshire Route 43 just south of the village of Candia, then reaches NH 27 just before entering the town of Raymond, where the river ends at the Lamprey River.

The Pawtuckaway River is a 3.6-mile-long (5.8 km) river in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Lamprey River, part of the Great Bay and Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The river forms the south outlet of Pawtuckaway Lake, a 900-acre (360 ha) lake in the town of Nottingham, New Hampshire. The river travels southeast through a wooded valley, passing under New Hampshire Route 156, entering the town of Raymond briefly, then crossing into Epping, where it joins the Lamprey River near the village of West Epping.

Fremont is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 4,739 at the 2020 census, up from 4,283 at the 2010 census. Fremont is crossed by the Rockingham Recreation Trail (a rail trail) and NH Route 107.

East Candia is an unincorporated community in the town of Candia in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. The village, as the name suggests, is located in the eastern part of the town of Candia, close to the town border with Raymond. The community is centered upon the intersection of Langford Road and Depot Road, approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) south of Langford Road's intersection with New Hampshire Route 27. East Candia has a separate ZIP code (03040) from the rest of the town of Candia.

Pawtuckaway Lake (official name Pawtuckaway Pond) is a 784-acre (3.17 km2) reservoir in Rockingham County in southeastern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Nottingham. The lake is located in the Piscataqua River drainage basin. The lake presently has two dams and three dikes. The dam on the southern end of the lake, Dolloff Dam, feeds the Pawtuckaway River, which flows southeast to the Lamprey River in the western part of the town of Epping. The dam at the north end of the lake, Drown's Dam, releases water to the Bean River, leading to the North River and ultimately the Lamprey River in the northern part of Epping. Approximately half of the lake's shoreline consists of private homes with a mixture of seasonal and year-round residents. Most of the western side of Pawtuckaway Lake is occupied by Pawtuckaway State Park, a popular camping, swimming, boating, hiking, bouldering, and orienteering destination. Canoe orienteering events are held on the lake.

The Fremont Meeting House (also known as Poplin Meeting House) is a historic meeting house at 464 Main Street (New Hampshire Route 107) in Fremont, New Hampshire. Built in 1800, it is a well-preserved example of a Federal-period meeting house, and is the only surviving example in the state with two porches, a once-common variant of the building type. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Benjamin Franklin Prescott House is a historic house on Prescott Street in Epping, New Hampshire. Built in 1875 for politician (and future Governor of New Hampshire) Benjamin Franklin Prescott, it is the town's finest example of Second Empire architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Square Schoolhouse is a historic schoolhouse at the junction of New Hampshire Route 156 and Ledge Hill Road in Nottingham, New Hampshire. Built about 1850, it is one of the best-preserved mid-19th century schoolhouses in southern New Hampshire. It served as a school until 1920, and is now a local museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is named not for its shape, but for its location in Nottingham Square.
