Nokesville Truss Bridge is a historic Pratt truss bridge carrying Virginia State Route 646 (Aden Road) across the Norfolk Southern Railway near Nokesville, Prince William County, Virginia. It was built in 1882 by the Keystone Bridge Company. The single-span bridge measures 73 feet 11.5 inches (22.543 m) long, and is constructed of wrought iron.The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Linton Hall School is a Catholic coeducational day-school occupying a 120‑acre campus in Bristow, Virginia, in Prince William County about 60 km (37 mi) west of Washington, D.C. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Arlington.

The average commute in the United States for the period was 25.1 minutes. The chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors said commutes were especially long for residents during the period studied because the county had not finished building roads to support the new residential areas that had just been built.

Nokesville is a Village and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince William County, Virginia, United States and Fauquier County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,619 in the 2020 census.

The Manassas Station Operations included the operations known as Bristoe Station, Kettle Run, Bull Run Bridge, or Union Mills. It took place August 25–27, 1862, in Prince William County, Virginia, as part of the Northern Virginia Campaign of the American Civil War. On the evening of August 26, after passing around Union Maj. Gen. John Pope's right flank via Thoroughfare Gap, Confederate Maj. Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's wing of the army struck the Orange & Alexandria Railroad at Bristoe Station and before daybreak August 27 marched to capture and destroy the massive Union supply depot at Manassas Junction. This surprise movement forced Pope's Army of Virginia into an abrupt retreat from his defensive line along the Rappahannock River. On August 27, Jackson routed a Union brigade near Union Mills (Bull Run Bridge), inflicting several hundred casualties and mortally wounding Union Brig. Gen. George W. Taylor. Maj. Gen. Richard S. Ewell's Confederate division fought a brisk rearguard action against Maj. Gen. Joseph Hooker's Union division at Kettle Run, resulting in about 600 casualties. Ewell held back Union forces until dark. That night, Jackson marched his divisions north to the Bull Run battlefield, where he took position behind an unfinished railroad grade.

Brentsville District High School, commonly known as Brentsville, is a public high school in Nokesville in unincorporated Prince William County, Virginia, United States, and part of Prince William County Public Schools. It is the only high school in Prince William County considered to be in a developing rural community.

The Battle of Bristoe Station was fought on October 14, 1863, at Bristoe Station, Virginia, between Union forces under Maj. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren and Confederate forces under Lt. Gen. A. P. Hill during the Bristoe Campaign of the American Civil War. The Union II Corps under Warren was able to surprise and repel the Confederate attack by Hill on the Union rearguard, resulting in a Union victory.

Davis–Beard House, also known as Glee Hall and Davis House, is a historic home located at Bristow, Prince William County, Virginia. It was built after the American Civil War, and is a two-story, five-bay, frame dwelling with later additions. The rambling dwelling has a number of Late Victorian style decorative elements. It features a one-story wraparound porch, decorated gables, bay windows, and storefront. Also on the property are a contributing brick hip-roofed carriage house and a small lattice-covered frame privy.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Bristow is an unincorporated community of Prince William County in Northern Virginia about 30 miles (48 km) from Washington, D.C. In 2014, Bristow's postal area population was 29,346, a 287% increase since 2000; however, the Bristow community is formally included in the Linton Hall, Virginia census-designated place (CDP). Park Gate is a historic home located near Nokesville, Prince William County, Virginia. It was built about 1750, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, Tidewater Style frame dwelling. It has a steep gable roof and exterior end chimneys and measures 36 feet by 30 feet. The front facade features a 12 feet deep full width front porch. Colonel Thomas Lee, eldest son of Richard Henry Lee, signer of the Declaration of Independence, resided at Park Gate from about 1790 to 1805.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
