Kewdale Freight Terminal is a large intermodal rail facility in the Perth suburb of Kewdale, Western Australia. Branching off the Kwinana freight railway, it was built in the 1960s to replace the Perth marshalling yard. It initially comprised ten narrow gauge (1067mm) and seven standard gauge (1435mm) arrival roads.The first narrow gauge sidings opened in early 1967; the first standard gauge sidings in November 1968.

Welshpool is an inner southeastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located mostly within the City of Canning and partially within the Town of Victoria Park. The area is one of the main industrial areas of Perth, along with Kewdale, Kwinana Beach, Henderson, Malaga, O'Connor, Canning Vale and Osborne Park.It is the location of the Welshpool railway station. Welshpool is visually known for its 3 complexes of silo towers. These house storage of feed products for the poultry and agricultural industries. Welshpool is a traditional industrial suburb partly to the fact of its proximity to Perth Airport and short distance to the Perth CBD.

Australian Islamic College is a multi-campus independent Islamic co-educational primary and secondary day school, located in Perth, Western Australia and Adelaide, South Australia. The school was founded in 1986 by Hajji Abdallah Magar, with 50 students. As of 2021, it has 4,000 students and over 400 staff spread over four campuses, three in the Perth suburbs of Kewdale, Thornlie and Dianella, and one in the Adelaide suburb of West Croydon.

Founded in 1965 by Peter O'Reilly O Praem, John Reynolds O Praem, both Norbertine priests and educators, the school was named after Saint Norbert of Xanten. Bicton is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia. It is located in Perth's southern suburbs, and named after the riverside suburb of Bicton. Bicton was created by the Western Australian Electoral Commission in a 2015 redistribution, and elected its first member at the 2017 state election.
