Forgandenny railway station served the village of Forgandenny, Perth and Kinross, Scotland from 1848 to 1956 on the Scottish Central Railway.

Forgandenny (Scottish Gaelic Forgrann Eithne, 'Over-Bog of Eithne' [an ancient female Gaelic name]) is a small village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, located four miles south of Perth. Perth is a 20-minute bus ride from Forgandenny, and there is a regular Stagecoach service. It is 45 minutes from Edinburgh and one hour from Glasgow. There is a daily train service from Perth to London King's Cross. Forgandenny has a church (of Norman origin, though the windows and doors are not original), village hall and a primary school. Its Post Office closed in 2020 after its owners for 32 years, Jim and Jacqueline Johnston, retired. "Everything is online," said Jim Johnston in April 2020. "The last few years all we have sold is sweets and soft drinks. It's time to put the feet up." The Post Office said it is committed to maintaining a branch in the village. Near the village since 1920 is Strathallan School, a boarding school of approximately 550 pupils and 70 staff, many of whom live in Forgandenny.

Broxden Junction (also known as Broxden Roundabout or Broxden Interchange) is one of the busier and more important road junctions in Scotland. It is located on the outskirts of Perth, and is one of the city's two major roundabouts – the other being Inveralmond Roundabout, where the A9 meets the A912 Dunkeld Road, 2.3 miles (3.7 km) to the north-northwest. The roundabout, oval in shape, is an important hub of the Scottish road network, a major junction on the A9 north–south route, and the UK's northernmost motorway junction, being junction 12 of the M90 motorway. Prior to Dunfermline's ascension to city status, all of the seven cities in Scotland were signposted from its exits. Broxden is an interchange for several local bus and long-distance coach services, the latter provided by Scottish Citylink, Megabus, FlixBus, and Ember. There is a park and ride area with a local bus service to Perth city centre. The roundabout was originally designed with the future intention of connecting the northbound A9 and the M90, with the roundabout being replaced by a grade separated junction, and in 2008 Transport Scotland published proposals for the dualling of the A9 between Dunblane and Inverness including the replacement of Broxden Junction with a flyover.

Strathallan School is a private boarding and day school in Scotland for boys and girls aged 5-18. The school has a 153-acre (62-hectare) campus at Forgandenny, a few miles south of Perth.

Cherrybank Gardens was a public garden in the southwestern outskirts of the Scottish city of Perth. Originally Bell's Cherrybank Gardens, when it was created in 1984 by Scotch whisky producers Bell's, whose headquarters were adjacent to the property, the gardens comprised 7 acres (2.8 ha). It included over 900 varieties of heather, the largest collection of its kind in the United Kingdom. Designed in the late 1970s, the gardens featured a sundial designed by Ian Hamilton Finlay.In 2002, the gardens were gifted to Scotland's Garden Trust (SGT) by Diageo plc, the multi-national company created following the merger of Bell's owners, United Distillers (and their parent, drinks group Guinness), with International Distillers & Vintners (and their parent, hotel group Grand Metropolitan).Two years later, in March 2004, the gardens announced its intention to develop an adjacent site into a £30 million National Garden for Scotland named The Calyx. In 2007, the project failed to gain the required lottery funding. The collapse of the Calyx scheme brought about the closure of the gardens in 2008, despite a petition by local residents.In September 2008, six months after its closure, it was announced that the gardens were due to reopen, but it failed again. In 2012, the property was sold to an energy company.

Dupplin Castle is a country house and former castle in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, situated to the west of Aberdalgie and northeast of Forteviot and Dunning. It overlooks Strath Earn. The earliest known owner of the castle was Sir William Oliphant in the late 13th century. The Battle of Dupplin Moor took place in the vicinity in 1332, when it was won by Edward Baliol. The castle was destroyed in 1461 and rebuilt. Dupplin was sold after some four hundred years by the 5th Lord Oliphant (who, per the diploma registered under the Great Seal, 10 March 1640, was also Lord Aberdalgie and Lord Dupplin) in 1623. It fell into the Hay family, after it was granted to Charles I's Lord Chancellor, the 1st Earl of Kinnoull. It was again rebuilt in 1688, though retained its earlier tower and some remnants of the earlier castle. In 1729 the estate was relandscaped including infilling of a deep precipice between two hills. A fire gutted the castle in 1827, prompting a full rebuilding and restoration. The castle was rebuilt as a country house under architect William Burn in 1828–32 at a cost of roughly £30,000. In 1911 it was purchased by whisky baron Sir John Dewar, who was ennobled as Lord Forteviot of Dupplin five years later. In the 1920s or 1930s there was a fire in the interior. It was demolished in August–October 1967. A new house was built in 1970 on the foundations.

Perth High School is a six-year, non-denominational comprehensive secondary school in Perth, Scotland. Established in 1950 at Gowans Terrace in a post-war prefabricated structure of a type that had not previously been used for any large school in Scotland. The school relocated to its present location in 1971, two years after the opening in 1969 of the adjacent Oakbank Primary School. It stands in extensive grounds occupying a position on a hill overlooking Oakbank Road and Viewlands Road West.

Hillyland is a suburban area of Perth, Scotland, approximately 2.0 miles (3.2 km) west-northwest of the centre of Perth. It borders Tulloch, which is located to the north and northeast. Newhouse Road separates Hillyland from Letham to the east. Hillyland lies immediately to the east of the A9 and south of the A85 (Crieff Road). As its name suggests, the area is centred on a hill, which is 55.8 metres (183 ft) at its highest point.In 1909, city reports described a "special drainage district" called Tulloch and Hillyland.

Letham are a Scottish football club from the Letham area in the northwest of Perth. They are members of the East Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association and currently play in the Midlands Football League.

Huntingtower and Ruthvenfield is a village in Perthshire, Scotland, on the River Almond, 3 miles (5 kilometres) northwest of Perth. Bleaching, the chief industry, dated from 1774, when the bleaching-field was formed. By means of an old aqueduct, said to have been built by the Romans, it was provided with water from the River Almond, the properties of which rendered it especially suited for bleaching. Bleaching (by chemicals under cover, not with bleach fields) continued Huntingtower until 1981. Huntingtower Castle, a once formidable structure, was the scene of the Raid of Ruthven (pron. Rivven), when the Protestant lords, headed by William, 4th Lord Ruthven and 1st Earl of Gowrie (c.1541–1584), kidnapped the boy-king James VI, on August 22, 1582. The earl's sons were slain in the attempt (known as the Gowrie conspiracy) to capture James VI (1600), consequent on which the Scots parliament ordered the name of Ruthven to be abolished, and the barony to be known in future as Huntingtower. The Ruthven name and reputation was re-established in 1651, by Sir Thomas Ruthven, for service too the Crown. The source of the 4.5 mi (7.2 km)-long Perth Lade is just west of the village, at Low's Work weir on the River Almond.

Forteviot Bronze Age tomb is a Bronze Age burial chamber discovered in 2009 at Forteviot near Perth, Scotland. The Bronze Age tomb is one of a number of archaeological digs at the site that Co-directors of the excavation, Dr. Gordon Noble of the University of Aberdeen, and professor Stephen Driscoll and Dr Kenneth Brophy, both of the University of Glasgow, are currently conducting. The excavation at Forteviot is part of a long-term collaborative study by the Strathearn Environs and Royal Forteviot (SERF) project – funded by Historic Scotland and the Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust – to study the archaeology of the former Pictish royal centre in the Strathearn region of what later became Central Scotland.

Huntingtower Castle, once known as Ruthven Castle or the Place of Ruthven, is located near the village of Huntingtower beside the A85 and near the A9, about 5 km NW of the centre of Perth, Perth and Kinross, in central Scotland, on the main road to Crieff. This castle is the subject for several local ghostlore stories.
