Hong Kong Velodrome

In the early hours of 4 November 2019, Chow Tsz-lok, a 22-year-old student of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology fell from the third floor inside a car park in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, in the context of anti-government protests in the territory. Chow, who was clad in black clothing that had become an unofficial uniform for protesters, had been wandering alone inside the building in the moments preceding the fall. The car park was close to an area of confrontation between protesters and police. Chow sustained multiple injuries, including a severe brain injury as a result of his fall. He died due to a cardiac arrest [1] four days later. The death stirred great emotions as many blamed the police and the government, while the police strenuously denied responsibility for his death. The government failed to conduct an independent investigation, and this triggered an escalation of violence of the ongoing protests.The Coroner's inquest found no evidence to suggest that Chow had taken part in the protest at the time. As the jury was unable to make a determination about the cause of death, the coroner pronounced an open verdict.

Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground (Chinese: 將軍澳運動場), located in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, is a multi-purpose sports ground and home of Hong Kong Premier League club Eastern. It was the main venue for track and field events for the 2009 Hong Kong Games, 2009 East Asian Games and 2011 Hong Kong Games. Occupying an area of about 5.9 hectares, it comprises a main sports ground, a warm-up secondary sports ground, and other facilities for holding large-scale international competitions. Its track and field facilities conform to International Association of Athletics Federations standards. It is located adjacent to the Hong Kong Velodrome.

Beverly Garden (Chinese: 富康花園) is a Home Ownership Scheme and Private Sector Participation Scheme court in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong near Tseung Kwan O Plaza, Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground, The Grandiose and MTR Tseung Kwan O station. It was jointly developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Chevalier Group, and has a total of ten blocks built on reclaimed land and was completed in 1998.

On Ning Garden (Chinese: 安寧花園) is a Home Ownership Scheme and Private Sector Participation Scheme court in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong near MTR Hang Hau station. It was jointly developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Hening Investment, and has a total of six blocks built on reclaimed land and was completed in 1991.

Sheung Tak Estate (Chinese: 尚德邨) is a public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Hong Kong Velodrome and Haven of Hope Hospital. It is the sixth public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O and comprises 9 blocks of Harmony I and Small Household Block styles built in 1998 and 2002 respectively. Kwong Ming Court (廣明苑), Po Ming Court (寶明苑) and Tong Ming Court (唐明苑) are Home Ownership Scheme housing courts in Tseung Kwan O near Sheung Tak Estate, built between 1998 and 1999.

Hang Hau (Chinese: 坑口) is an MTR station of Tseung Kwan O line, located at Pui Shing Road, Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It was the easternmost station in the MTR railway system, until LOHAS Park station opened on 26 July 2009. It was named after Hang Hau Village, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Residence Oasis, a private residential estate, and its accompanied shopping centre, the Lane, are situated above the station.

Residence Oasis (Chinese: 蔚藍灣畔) is a private housing estate on the reclaimed land of Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, located near MTR Hang Hau station. It was jointly developed by MTR Corporation, Sino Land and Kerry Properties in 2005. It consists of six high-rise buildings (Tower 1-3, 5-7) and a shopping arcade, The Lane (Chinese: 連理街).

East Point City (Chinese: 東港城) is a private housing estate and shopping centre in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near the Hang Hau MTR station. Built on reclaimed land and developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the estate consists of seven high-rise buildings and a two-storey shopping centre. A large-scale renovation of the shopping centre was completed in 2008.

The Grandiose (Chinese: 君傲灣) is a private housing estate in Tseung Kwan O Town Centre, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near MTR Tseung Kwan O station. It comprises 3 high-rise buildings built in 2006. It is jointly developed by New World Development and MTR Corporation, and constructed by Hip Hing Construction, 28 minutes to Sheung Wan and Central Business District.

Hang Hau (Chinese: 坑口) is a residential area in Tseung Kwan O, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located at the eastern edge of the Tseung Kwan O New Town. Most of the land was reclaimed from Hang Hau Village and Shui Bin Village (水邊村).

Haven of Hope Hospital (Chinese: 靈實醫院; Cantonese Yale: Lìhngsaht Yīyún), located in Rennie's Mill, New Territories, Hong Kong, provides subacute medical care, comprehensive rehabilitation and long term care under the auspices of Haven of Hope Christian Service and the Hospital Authority. The hospital was founded by Norwegian missionary Annie Skau Berntsen in 1955.

Hau Tak Estate (Chinese: 厚德邨) is a public housing estate in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near East Point City. It is the fourth public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O and consists of six blocks of Harmony I style, providing more than 4,000 rental flats built between 1993 and 1994.Chung Ming Court (頌明苑) and Yu Ming Court (裕明苑) are Home Ownership Scheme housing courts in Tseung Kwan O near Hau Tak Estate, built in 1993 and 1994 respectively.
