Zoarville is an unincorporated community in Tuscarawas County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.

Huff Run is a 9.9 mile (15.9 km) long tributary of the Conotton Creek in eastern Ohio within Sandy Township (Tuscarawas County) and Rose Township (Carroll County). Conotton Creek is a tributary of the Ohio River via the Tuscarawas River and the Muskingum River. Mineral City is the only incorporated town within the Huff Run Watershed. The mouth of the stream is at 875 feet altitude. Dover Dam 40°33′26″N 81°24′44″W, downstream on the Tuscarawas River, is normally dry, but can inundate this waterway to a pool elevation of 916 feet for downstream flood control by the Corps of Engineers. This can cause flooding and closure of Route 800 south of Mineral City and other roads out of the village. The stream gauge south of Mineral City is at 886.98 feet, and is rendered inoperable when reservoir elevation exceeds that.

Zoar is a village in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 172 at the 2020 census. The community was founded in 1817 by Radical Pietists as a utopian Christian community, which survived until 1898.Much of the village's early layout survives, as do many buildings from its utopian origins. Most of the community was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969 as the Zoar Historic District, and was designated a National Historic Landmark District in 2016. Some of the historic buildings are now operated as museum properties.

Wilkshire Hills is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census.The CDP is on the northern edge of Tuscarawas County, in the northeast corner of Lawrence Township. It is bordered to the northwest by the village of Bolivar, to the south by the village of Zoar, to the east by Sandy Township, and to the north by Pike Township and Bethlehem Township in Stark County. Wilkshire Golf Course is in the western part of the CDP. Ohio State Route 212 passes through the community, leading northwest into Bolivar and southeast 15 miles (24 km) to Sherrodsville. Interstate 77 passes just to the northwest of Wilkshire Hills, with access from Exit 93 (Bolivar). I-77 leads north 11 miles (18 km) to Canton and south the same distance to Dover. The Tuscarawas River forms the western border of Wilkshire Hills. The Tuscarawas, flowing south and west, is the main tributary of the Muskingum River, which flows south to the Ohio.

Sandy Valley High School is a public high school near Magnolia, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Sandy Valley Local Schools district. Its mascot is a cardinal and its colors are red and gray. A new high school building opened January 20, 2009.

Sandy Valley Local Schools is a school district located in Stark County, Ohio, United States, despite that the schools are in Tuscarawas County. There are three schools, Sandy Valley Elementary, Sandy Valley Middle School and Sandy Valley High School. (SV is considered a Stark County district because the majority of area in the district falls within Stark County. The district also extends into Tuscarawas County (where the campus is located) and Carroll County) The schools had been made up of East Sparta Elementary, Magnolia Elementary, Waynesburg Elementary, and the Sandy Valley High/Jr. High school. Magnolia housed grade Kindergarten-2nd, Waynesburg held grades 3 and 4. And lastly East Sparta held grades 5–6. The Jr.High/High school held grades 7–12.In 2008 the NEW Elementary was finished right off of route 183. They held a dedication in August and that same year grades Kindergarten-5 moved into the new school. While 6-12 grades stayed in the Old High school/Jr.High until January 20, 2009, when they had a ceremonial walk in 20 degree weather over to the new school—It was only about a parking lot distance away, a small one at that.-- Sandy Valley is home to THE CARDINALS and their colors are Red and gray but are sometimes accented with white. Their best sports consist of track, basketball, cross country, softball and wrestling. They often send runners and wrestlers to state level competition, and have also had success in tournament action with their softball team. The former elementary schools were once the local high schools, prior to the creation of the Sandy Valley Local School District.
