Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Borivali (West) has been a Roman Catholic Parish from 1547 to 1739 and again from 1912 onwards. Its present clergy are Fr Gerald Fernandes (PP), Fr Gilbert Cardoza, Fr Joel Pinto, Fr Robin Kinny and Fr Joseph David. It is situated in I.C. Colony (Immaculate Conception Colony) which is a large colony situated in the suburbs of Borivali, in the North Western face of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Saint Francis D'Assisi High School is a school located in IC Colony, Borivali West, Mumbai, India. It is managed by the Franciscan Missionary Brothers, a Catholic religious society founded by Rev. Bro. Paulus Moritz, a German Missionary. The school is recognized by the State Government of Maharashtra. It was established in 1908 and had its centenary celebrations in 2008 with former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as the chief guest. In 1985 when the school had completed 75 years the Guest of Honor was Shri Giani Zail Singh, the then President of India. It is one of the largest high schools in Maharashtra, India. The school is particularly known for their sports teams especially their football team which is among the best in the city of Mumbai. The high school has an average of 10,000 students on its roster, from Standards 1 to 10. The curriculum followed in the school was that of the just the SSC exams earlier. The school now also has a separate wing which follows the ICSE curriculum. It was started in 2009 in place of the senior college that was supposed to be established. The name is derived from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, or IC Church, which is at the South Eastern entrance of the colony. The Holy Cross Colony and extension (also called IC extension), on Holy Cross Street, which extends beyond IC Colony towards Dahisar (Mumbai's last zone before Thane district) is also part of the extended Catholic locale. Many old mansions can be found here though most are now broken down to make way for newer apartment buildings. The Postal Index Number for the colony is 400103. Dahisar (station code: DIC) is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Dahisar station is the last station within Brinhanmumbai Municipal Corporation limits. The area around the station has heavy traffic and is congested. With the construction of the railway line connecting Dahisar to the city of Mumbai in 1867, came the first lot of migrants, the people from Sindhudurg region of Konkan. These migrants established the first planned residential areas of Dahisar - Maratha Colony in Dahisar East and Mhatre Wadi in the West. The Railway authorities wanted to name the Railhead at Dahisar as Mount Poinsur, but the locals opposed this move and forced the authorities to name it as Dahisar. Currently, it has 4 platforms with 2 for Slow line (Up and Down) and 2 for fast line (Up and Down). All platforms can handle 15-coach Suburban trains. The station was originally named Mount Poinsur, after the locality of the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church in Borivali. Due to demands from local residents who referred to the area as Dahisar, the Railways agreed to rename the station.

Dahisar (Marathi pronunciation: [d̪əɦisəɾ]) is the northernmost neighborhood (and railway station) of Mumbai. Dahisar is the first locality of Mumbai from the north. The suburb is a very cosmopolitan suburb, which has a large Gujarati population, the Marathis are the second most visible group in the suburb. Not to be confused with Dahisar Mori in Navi Mumbai. On the Mumbai Suburban Railway (which is part of the Indian Western Railway line), that runs from Churchgate to Virar, Dahisar is immediately north and next to the populous suburb of Borivali, which has a train station of the same name. After Dahisar, when travelling northwards on the Churchgate - Virar Western Railway line the immediate next railway station or stop is Mira Road station.

Ovari Pada is the elevated northern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Red Line 7 of Mumbai Metro. This station is located in an elevated position on Western Express Highway in North Mumbai. This metro station was inaugurated on 2 April 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
